i suppose pissing on the ground beside it would be ok, but you know there is splashing and such even if your not aiming right at it, we have all been in men's restrooms.

This is just a general mythconception and misunderstanding. First off, you don't hike your leg directly on your plants or you will quite literally "burn the piss out of them". You dilute it. Yes urine contains sodium... plants need sodium. And it just so happens that what come out of you is in a form that plants can use directly.

Unless you are royally cruded up or on enough shit to make Keith Richards go "HOLY FUCK MATE!!!!" the metabolites you are expelling are so diluted it isn't an issue.
Ponder this, a lot of the composted steer manure available is from feedlot cattle. Pumped up on so many hormones that it's causing girls to menstruate a younger ages and develop breast earlier.... also contributing to smaller penile size in developing boys. Those hormones are present in the manure because the bovine digestive system is extremely inefficient.

i see, i am still not a fan of the idea, its too much like building an outhouse over my compost pile and growing veggies for the farmers market in it. sure the shit has been turned into the same nutrients as the dirt is but it still feels like feeding other ppl my waste. and i would not want to buy it from someone else so.

I've never tried it diluted or undiluted in my garden because it's not really a stretch of reasoning that using human urine in gardening especially for human consumables is completely wrong and disgusting! Not to mention a lot uncertainty,variables that your throwing into your garden because everyone's urine is not the same and for each person it's not the same all the time either. The idea of urea being wasted down the drain is utter hippie bullshit as well.

Yes, i am very familiar with the term manure. I grew up on a medium size horse farm as a child and often assisted my father in the cleaning and care of the horses. Excellent attempt at humorous sarcasm none the less. I should point out the fairly noticeable differences in the human digestive system and that of many mammalia herbivores. I use horse manure on nearly all of my vegetables.
I did not mean to offend you, and perhaps i was a little over the top on in my first post. (it is somewhat disconcerting what people have been know to do to cannabis prior to selling to unknowing consumers) if your not selling or sharing it, fuck do what ever you want.
although, using watered down piss to water your plants would not really matter much if your product live up to that of other methods. But i have actually seen people on here advocating the use of human feces and pure urine on plants, but again it was typically some guy with one scraggly plant under a cfl in a closet.

The "ew" factor is just a hold over mentality from when people lived in overcrowded and unsanitary communities rife with disease and parasites. People associated waste with disease and attempted to distance themselves from it as much as possible. This worked without them knowing the why's and how's of why they weren't getting as sick as often. So it just became common practice perpetuated by stigmatizing it.
Using your urine as a fertilizer is safe, as sanitary as you want to make it, effective and it is ecologically and fiscally responsible. Be careful pointing your finger and going "fucking gross"..... The rising trend in waste water management is for it to be processed with duckweed and other plants and then fed to tilapia. Which are then collected and sold as food fish. 100% fed from human sewage.

I read a similar thread not too long ago on here, and when I saw the reaction I decided at the time not to chime in, but I have to here. I used urine in my last grow, just to see how it worked. Seemed fine to me. I'll use it again if I feel the need....
Anyone who doesn't understand why using pee as fertiliser is not going to mean you have pee in your buds obviously knows nothing about chemistry. They're probably the same people who think that people give molasses to their plants to help with the "sugary coating", or the "sweet taste".
