1. A 600w is only going to produce 6 large healthy plants, you can put more under it than that but they will suffer and you will be wasting seeds. You will definitely be able to veg 12 seeds (so half will be female) to about 12 inches if you use smaller pots.

2. Yes, rootlet down, but it doesn't matter, this guy fdd2blk posted pictures of a seed sprouting and growing out of a roach, no joke. Also ive never aligned them, i just put them in, plants can sense gravity.

3. You can put them in there final growing pots right from the beginning. But in order to veg more than 6 plants you will need smaller pots, and make them tall. cannabis likes length not width when you talk about roots. I like to use 2 liter soda bottles or large then transplant to 3 gal grow bag/pots.

4. Get a good soil. This is sooooo key. No Miracle Grow, No scotts. Nothing with added chem ferts. I really like anything from Fox farm. Pro mix is also easy to find. You dont need a special mix for sprouting although added perlite helps. Do you live in a city, if so check out your local gardening or hydro shop, they will have organic soils. You may have to drive a bit but at least you can go to a hydro store and get everything you need.

5. Get a veg and bloom nute. In veg you should only need to feed after 3 weeks from sprout and then maybe once or twice more. In bloom you may have to add every third watering. I really like Humboldts organic lineup and i like botainicares lineup. But fox farm nutes are easy to find and effective.

Also those sativas are going to be much taller than the indicas, so put some books under the indica pots so the lighting is even along the canopy. Lamp

my questions

1. Im probably just growing 6 to 8 plants, or however many i can with my 600w digital ballast hps/mh light. I want atleast 3 of the arjans haze cause of its high yield. And i want around 3 of my vk for my couch lock indica. But, i want to try to get some laides out of my mazari shariff freebies because its 6-8 wks flowerinng, and my arjans is like 10-13, so i wanted the mazari sooner for personal consumption. Can this light handle that many plants if i put them in a tent?

2. Once my seeds sprout out, i put the white tip up in the soil about 1cm down right?

3. Once they sprout, do i have to put them in cups or small pots, or can i go ahead and put them in their permanent big (10g i dunno?) bucket?

4. Soil, do i need to order some fancy soil for the begining week or two of the plant since seed insertion? After that, what soil should i get? Ive heard of some that claims to increase your yield my huge amounts, like humboldts bushmaster, or is that just a nutrient. Anyways, just want good suggestions for the soil i should use throughought all stages of my grow. Do i have to order the good stuff offline, or can i get from somewhere like lowes or home depot?

5. Nutes. When should i start adding them? Whats the best without ruining the weedi have to order them offline or can i get it from something like home depot.
jut water with ph'rdwater for 2 weeks or so,or till they have a good root structure. Then feed 1/4 to 1/2 strength.
6. Exhaust. Since im growing down in my basement and its kinda connected to under my house the temps might get too low to i plan on either buying a homebox l or building a tent. Will i need to buy exhaust for a 600w hps/mh. Will one 6 incher do?
always have a way to exhaust and bring in freash air.this is very important in growing. If you have a problem with temps droping when lights go off durring veg then keepit running 24/0 or get a heater.
7. C02 when do i need to start adding it. Do i have to?
Let me apologize for all the questions, i tried using the search button trust me but i could not get what i was looking for. 1st timer here, looking for the best growers on here advice.
