gun shows are usually a good bet. you could also look into private party sales. thats how i sold all my guns. just be smart and use your head (meet in a public place, get a written contract, etc.). a good place to go is backpage.com
No written contract ever.... I do NOT want anyone knowing I sold a gun to anyone... It is OUR right to bear arms...

Arizona current law... In a private sell (Non FFL Dealers) the Seller must see an Arizona State Id from buyer and the transaction is legal... no paper work, not contract...

If I was buying a gun and they wanted a contract I would tell them they DO NOT know the laws and go looking else where....

Another law in AZ that folks argue about.................

If you are 18 years old you can carry a pistol and conceal it....
The only restriction is the purchase from a FFL dealer.. So an eighteen year old can legally buy a pistol from a private seller and carry it in the Good Ol' State of Arizona....

Advice....

It is a Federal law that you are violating. State law enforcement will not do anything but the Federal agencies will haul you in.

ATF is federal and they will come after you if you buy a gun from a FFL. FFLs are required to call in the paperwork and get approval.

LOOPHOLE..... Best way to buy a gun........... Get your CCW. (MOST IMPORTANT)
Then when you go fill out paper work at FFL dealer they do NOT have to call in the transaction since your CCW verifies status and they do not call ATF for approval. the FFL is required to hold records of transaction and IF the ATF wants to look into you then WOULD have to go to every FFL in the state and gather info oppose to it being in the SYSTEM that you were purchasing a firearm.
i say he just buys it from a different dealer keep your green card at home that day and only buy one at a time and give yourself some space between the next purchase no way in hell does the ATF know who has a MMJ card only way for them is to investigate and the ATF will show up at your door if you start buying a lot of firearms at one time, they just want to make sure you arent doing sneaky shit with your purchases.

Its a dumb law, is it still you have to be 21 and over to buy a handgun from a dealer but you can be 18 and carry one..

you are right that is the law i have inquired with dps, az sheriffs dpt, as well as local police and that is what they told me at the time. but i am not gonna give a deadly weapon away to a stranger without having proof that they are now in lawful possession of a firearm which was originally bought by me, which can be traced back to me. i wanted a written contract to cover my own ass in case that gun ever shows up in a crime later. the same goes for buying a used gun, you dont know what that gun had been used for in the past and if you dont get proof of where you got it, if it was involved in a crime or is stolen you are fucked if they catch you with it and you have no proof of where you got it other than some story about a guy who showed you his id.

yeah always get a bill of sale notarized if you purchase/sale a gun privately .

I would not think about buying a gun for at leat a few months... The FFL could be a douche and report him especially if paperwork is filled out and then HE denied purchase. The FFL keeps paperwork...

I have noticed alot of gun shop owners are retired law enforcement in Az.... Not all but most... by that being said I would be worried that gun shop owner might start talking to a friend who is likely a cop and so on and so fourth....

just me.....

another thing to think about. why is your green card so easily seen by strangers? be careful who you show that card to, you never know who may be watching.

you must not know the laws... Are you the ATF? Do you regulate this process? NO I never said DONT use your better judgement and sell a gun to who ever.... But I would NEVER sign a contract or anything pertaining to the transfer of a fire arm... Not required by law...

And lastly the ONLY folks that know that status of a gun are the POLICE... Always use your better judgement....

Like I said when I posted it... Alot of folks DO NOT know the Arizona Revised Statues.... Know your laws and you will know your rights....

There is NO way for a gun to be tracked back to you if you take the proper protocols when acquiring a firearm...

unless you want to take the risk of going to prison for a crime someone else committed.
You are crazy... notarized contract... I do NOT think you have ever sold a gun in that manner.... I would love to see proof.... MOST Arizonians KNOW their gun rights and would tell you to piss off....

Hey meet me at the notary to sign your life away.... NO WAY

DUDE dont start... I read what you wrote... And you are claiming it is a MUST to get a notarized contract for a PRIVATE transaction

explain how that is dumb?
Explain what it doesnt make any sense. You can not legally purchase a handgun until you are 21 but you can carry one at age 18??? I'm not a arms dealer and I havent purchased a firearm in years. So dont point the finger if I dont know every single rule.

Even on a notarized bill of sale?
I would recommend NEVER doing a notarized contract....

So next time you want to trade meds or clones MAKE sure you get a Notarized Contract to cover your own ass.... Its a JOKE bro..... Look into the laws and your answers are there... Do take any ones word for it... Not even MINE.. Just look up the Arizona Revised Statues NOT on a blog or forum....
