Wondering if you guys have any suggestions or anything. Don't have tons more height to work with.
Gorilla Glue x4 and one Purple Kush all fems in FFOF w/ perlite feeding AN Micro Groom Blow (bought it years ago, please don't bully).

They are all really healthy, I'm just not sure if I should leave them inside and start flowering soon or if I should transfer them outside after hardening. I ordered some D. earth that should be here in a couple days, I always seem to have pest problems mainly spider mites outside so I'm torn on what to do. I also did a small amount of pruning. These were bushy and very happy earlier before I received the soft tie and LST'd them more than I could just by hand, and they are snapping back incredibly fast.

They look healthy in terms of color. From the pictures looks like you did more HST than LST. How many nodes were there when you topped?

3 nodes. When I started training them I was a little rough and two of them split down the middle. That and temperatures getting really cold I think had a lot to do with how fast/robust they grew. I'm going to go take some pictures now for ya

Here's some pics I just took. Not sure why the tops are clawing today they weren't yesterday.. Lol. I adjusted the lights up a little bit after I took these pics. These were germinated seeds planted into starter pucks, left in mini greenhouse til first node started to show, then into Fox Farms Ocean forest with a solo cup size area of regular potting soil to let the plant/roots take a good hold before reaching the FF. This was done right around april 17th (initial planting into the pucks, transplanted about a month later into the bags), but, they weren't in a tent and were exposed to 50 degree temperatures in the house a couple nights. All of these plants are the same color, the light inside the tent made the one picture look yellow like that. Also they have been 12/12 for about 9 days now. My lights are cheap lights from amazon but have the right Samsung diodes at least from what I read.

One issue I have been having this whole grow is that I try to let the soil dry out well before watering and usually I will wake up to drooping plants if I don't water at least every other day (third day the plants will be wilted) and I'm not sure if I should let them wilt, then water, or if watering them before they wilt is better?

Anyhow I appreciate any feedback, and if you need me to clarify anything let me know, I know I'm not a great writer lol.

Plants look nice. Little pale in my opinion, I like to see deeper more vibrant greens. My partner gets these color plants sometimes, not sure if it's from pheno, the lights, or the nutes hes feeding. Are you feeding these anything (aside from the FFOF they're in?)

The temperature definitely set you back 1-1.5 weeks most likely. Topping at 3 nodes also definitely set them back some time. I follow the nebula manifold tutorial, waiting until they get to 5-6 notes and then topping to the 3rd. These will recover from it but with added time and the right training/targeting of nodes.

How many gallon's are those pots (and how much dirt are in them?), and how much do you water when you do? Are you watering until some runoff comes out? or a set amount each time? Typically what people do is take a mental note of the weight of the pot with fresh/dry soil and water by weight.

I love your method of transplanting, especially the barrier of soil before the seedling gets to the FFOF (as we know ffof is hot)

Get rid of the dead plant matter laying on top of your soil too.

So these vegged for about 4 weeks and then you flipped to flower? Is that accurate?

Advanced Nutrients Grow Micro Bloom ph perfect and Big Bud now in flower. I think they are a little light colored because the lights might have been a little too close, which is why I raised them slightly. Also I only recently added the second light for flower so that could be why they are slightly discolored. What do you think of the little bit of curling the top leaves are doing? I'm thinking it's also because the lights were a little too powerful/close this first week of flower along with the addition of the Big Bud, but I have to say overall I think they are responding pretty well, definitely in stretch mode!

I try to take a mental note of the weight like you said, less than .5L each plant, usually there is light runoff but definitely not 30% mostly because I'm trying to keep the mess down and don't want to encourage mold/pests inside the tent. They are in 5 gal pots but I wanted to keep the height low so I filled them roughly halfway.

I would say, growth wise, 4 weeks veg, but in real time, it was closer to 8 because of the hiccups along the way. I have been manicuring them along the way as well to let light into the lower bud nodes. As for the potting method I can't take credit for it, I read it someplace when I was looking at using the FFOF for the soil. Someone said to use FF Happy Frog (I think) to do the cup of barrier soil method but I already had basic potting soil so used what I had. I thought it was a great idea as well and had absolutely no issues with nutrient burns, even with the AN on top right from the beginning practically, which is one of the reasons I was surprised they didn't grow more during the length of time in veg I gave them.

in my last 3 pics you can see the final one it says it's 90 degrees in the tent but i fixed that. i almost feel like they need to be watered but I just watered them generously yesterday. it's all so tiresome lol

I would say you can lay off the AN pH balancer as FFOF already has pH buffers in it. Did you amend the FFOF with anything or just went straight?

What is the advertised wattage of your lights? (brand/model?) Distance from plants?

In terms of watering, I find it hard to believe these plants only require .5L each. I have 5 gallons in mine and they take 6L every other day. Granted I'm in peat but I still believe you should be watering substantially more. Try watering much much slower on your next one, making sure you don't have a ton of spill over around the outside rim of the pot. Try to evenly distribute the water. Let it recede, wait a minute or two, and repeat. Repeat until first signs of runoff. Also, what is your Feed/Water schedule? I like to do F-W-F-W.

I would add more soil on top (not sure if FFOF would be the right choice to top dress with, someone could provide better input on that as I don't have experience with the medium.

Also, I'm surprised these things aren't starving. Big Buds is a 0-1-3 and the FFOF I believe is fractions of that. Typically I like to start my bloom nutrients the feeding before switch, and then throughout the rest of the grow. The nutrients I use is a 5-10-14, combined with a 1-15-30 after 3 weeks or so, and some calmag every other feed during early-mid flower, tapering off to every 2nd watering after weeks 4/5.

The curling could be a few things, but it would seem to me that it could potentially be lockout due to underwatering. RARELY are my plants drooping and I let mine get relatively dry compared to most (We have humidity / overwatering tendencies)

Also, what's your humidity levels? I would ditch the analog thermo and get yourself a Govee. It records data so you can see what happened when you're not home. Bluetooth connectivity.

TLDR - I would add some soil on top, ditch the AN pH balancer, increase water till run off (slowly as described above), and get a hold of some bloom nutrients. GH has a very reputable line. I use Lotus. There are plenty of options.

The Advanced Nutrients is a base nutrient lineup, not only a ph balancer, so I will probably finish with it since I'm getting close to the end and don't want to change anything major like that, but I'll definitely be using a different base nutrient next time. As for the Fox Farms, it's somewhere around 10% perlite and obviously the regular potting soil which is probably 5% or so.. Each light is supposed to pull 240w from the wall, I've no way to test that, however youtube reviews have shown it to be true.

I use a sprayer thing with a nozzle that spreads the water like a sprinkler type deal, so, although I know what you mean about just pouring it in and having it pool up/go over the sides, it's not much of an issue using the type of watering can I use.

I have added more soil on top to even the surface out after handling the soft pots outside the tent.. no problems. I may add more now that you mention it. Also I have been watering with nutrients every time I water.. I guess that could be a problem I overlooked? If that's the case I will alternate as you suggest, and since they are going into dark soon, tomorrow I will give them another healthy(er) watering and start from there again making sure to allow some runoff.

I think you're right about the lockout.. as for humidity, I don't have any way of controlling that besides closing windows/opening doors, etc. But I know it's usually high around 70-80% possibly higher when it's raining/storming outside. I definitely need to invest in better measuring instruments the analog thermo is just because that's what I had at my disposal. Definitely going to look into the Govee you mentioned.

Thank you for all your help man, I really appreciate it. I'll update this thread as the weeks go on and we'll see what happens. I think the curling is from underwatering and being too hot in the tent. I'll update tomorrow! Thanks again

I wonder, I have CAL-MAG super by botanicare, which can't be mixed in the same water as the advanced nutrients because it will mess with the ph perfect system from what i've read other people have claimed.. Would it be beneficial if I scheduled my watering with AN one water, Cal-Mag the next, and so on?
