If an individual is arrested for sales and the were not near their residence and never gave their address and never mentioned about anything that could link illegal activity to your house can the arrest be enough for probable cause to issue a search warrant?

Sad to say one can not hide once caught for distribution as Identity is always a priority when a person is detained .. You cant be arrested and just have no Identity , even being homless one must have a contact available and to be honest the police will be looking into investigating any drug activity dealing with distribution as this is what they do best !

I found more clarification of the story. The individual has a medical marijuana card in az and it gave authorization to cultivate. The indavidual was away from his home and took a donation for marijuana which their considering a sale. They are saying that the initial sale constitutes probable cause to get a search warrent for their home that their Medical marijuana card is registered to. Its seems pretty remote to have probable cause for a house especially when they are authorized to cultivate.

Who dod they sell it to? (or take the donation from?) Did that person have a card? If not, its illegal, and they now have probable cause to search his residence, as they believe more drugs are there.. If the person DID have their card as well, its legit, because its "sharing medicine".. Or, Was that person he sold to an undercover? If so, hes REALLY fucked... No matter what, if you are arrested for drugs, you can bet your ass they will be at your house the same day... Whether it was in another state or not, they will still have prob cause to search the residence

It was an exchange for donations and it was an undercover that displayed a card. He missinterpitted the law.and thought cutivators could get donations but its only cultivators. He had a card to cultivate.
