at 3 days drying...

You need to figure out what the RH is in an empty jar first. If you're working with an RH of 64% in an empty jar I would be content with an RH of 67% in a jar of buds.
As far as how to get to that RH you can read the post I made a yesterday about drying. Basically I go between a jar and bin at 12 hrs a pop in each. So to answer your question about getting to the proper RH that's how I do it.

Once you get a jar of buds to read an RH of under 68% you can put the buds away for a four to six week time period in a large mason jar. After 4 to 6 weeks transfer the buds to smaller jars. That gives everything a quick breather. At that point you can put the smaller jars away for another 4 weeks. At that point give all jars a quick sniff and breather to make sure everything smells good. Now you can put the small jar away for a long time. Hope this helps.

Side note: a lot of people may respond saying a lower RH would be better for putting away for a cure. People seem to like the 55-65 range in print. I however have found it hard to get things down this low since I have been working with mason jars with baseline RH's in the low 60's. At a RH of 67% in a jar the buds are dry. In fact, if I didn't have a hygrometer I'm sure I would think the RH of the buds was much lower.

okay so ive already read the "perfect cure everytime" thread but i have a couple questions...

when it says the curing zone is 60%-65%.... does that mean i just keep burping until its at that RH range and then just leave them in the jars? or keep burping even after it reach's the 60%-65% range?

because as of now the three jars are at 74%, 72%, 76%.... so i opened the jars to lower the humidity...
also, how long should i be keeping the jars open?

thanks

You have asked the same question a lot of times and quite a few people have answered you to help you.
There is no need to start another thread on the same topic.

I've merged the threads together as to keep the same information and questions in the same thread.

Then ask for more detail if you don't find the answers specific enough.

As far as I can tell people who replied to this thread have answered your questions rather well and precisely.

If you have read Simons 'Perfect cure' thread then there should be no questions.
Everything is explained.

Either way, keep the same information and questions in the same thread instead of making duplicates.

To the OP:

Burping a jar isn't the way to lower RH IMO. The top buds in the jar will air out more than the bottom buds. So to answer the question, don't burp, dump the buds out on a tray for 10 to 12 hours then put them back into the jar for 12 hours then repeat the tray/jar cycle until done.

heres a question.... when the bud is in the jars and the rh% is above the "cure zone" is it still considered being in the "drying zone"
