At what stage does humidity become a factor?

Preparing for a first grow. My chosen grow room, however, is EXTREMELY humid. Left to its own, humidity touches 75%-80%, so I know a decent dehumidifier will be in order. However, when does this become important? Does the humidity have to be brought down to earth as soon as the seed hits the soil?

the most i feel your humidity should ever be (outside of seedlings) is 50%. i go about 50% in veg and around 35-40% in flower.

i dont use a unit for humidity. however, at times, mine goes as high as 71%. gereraly its like 45-52%. i have only had one issue. and it was my "learning issue" lol. i have a nice recirocating fan on em at all times. fairly gentle. i would not worry to much. any window air unit will act as a de-humidifyer. its the nature of the beast.

There is no window unit anywhere in the vicinity. I'll most likely need to get the real thing.

Does having an oscillating fan really have any significant affect on the humidity level?

nahhh but it make air circulation .. that make it hard for stuff like mold and mildrew get a foot hold .. and also strengens steam and remove old/stall air/co2

Its important from day one. Clones high at first.. 50% at veg and I do 35% on flower. Freaking thunderstorms are messing with me atm. Moving air helps prevent mold/rot/mildew, soil dries faster too. High humidity also promotes bacteria growth. Think jock itch..warm,moist you get yeast/fungus on you balls..dry, aired out NP. A plus is low humidity promotes trichs to protect the plant from dehydration.

i find that my plants are comfortable in anything between 40-75% humidity during veg

but i like to keep it below 50% during flower to prevent any issues

agree ..

tho I normaly dont do much out off it ..

I guess its Bc. my humidity is mostly around perfect ..
new appartement with nice ventilation so normaly around the 40-50% inside .. with my HPS (in flowering) my temps raise a littel and also make my humidity to drop a littel to under 40%

have to love my new thermo/hydrometer .. not just telling me whats inside my grow room .. it also tells me its dry :D pretty kool specialy when flowering ;)

what I read .. is that unless you got extrems (less then 30% or more then 90%) you realy schould bother much .. tho 30% in Veg would be pretty dry and I would spray em atlest once a day .. and 90% would be way to high in flowering .. but a good air flow and circulation will help a lot ..

I'm in a constant battle with heat. Temps are 75 to 85 lights off/on. humidity swings from65 to 85 on some days.
If I run a dehumidifier it heats up more than my portable A/C can overcome and temps go up
about 8 degrees.

I do have a Vortex 6" fan and scrubber venting the tent and a 6" inline fan with scrubber venting through my
light exhaust. with plenty of air flow I have not had problems up to now 57 days into flower.:weed:
