At which stage of flowering can i do away with blue light?

My 3 autos were under a dual 200watt cfl with the intention of adding a further red 200watt cfl once flowering started. However my 200watt dual cfl crapped out so i dont plan on putting another one in , instead i put in 12 x 20watt cfl`s as a starter, the plants have stretched a little due to the time without sufficient light whilst i was preparing the cfl`s. However my question is am i ok to use red light at the first sign of flowering ie: only a few pistils showing as i have 1 plant that is covering quite well with pistils , 1 plant with only about 6-8 pistils and another 1 with only 2 or 3 pistils , or do i need to get some more blue light in there for a bit more veg? Only prob is the only blue light i have unless i order from the net is 2 shitty dual led panels.

Any guidance appreciated :)

actually. if you can you should alternate between the 2700k (red light) and the 6500k (blue light) like every wk (1 wk red, 1wk blue, 1 wk red, 1 wk blue) and so on. this way your buds will turn out top notch. the blue light aids in resin/thc production. your buds will be extra frosty by alternating between red and blue light. i did it a lot with great success.

Ive heard a mixed spectrum of lights is better than having all red or all blue,, Id make 10-15 of the cfls 2700k and keep the other 5 as 6500k

oh excuse me. i didnt notice ur using cfls. i thought you were talking about an hps light and a mh light. lol. if you're using cfls use 1 blue bulb for every 3 red ones. thats what im told is a good ratio but alternatively you could go 50/50.

its really preference. 2700 or 6500 (red or blue) can be used independently for a whole grow cycle and both will yield good results. right now im in veg with 5 23w cfls. 4 blue and 1 red. for flowering i intend to do the exact opposite. maybe 2 blue instead of 1 though. im only growing 1 plant in a 1 gal grow bag.

i personally would advise against using mh the whole way through...buds wont be as dense. but using both the whole way through is definitely a plus whenever possible in my experience.

2nd on this, u dont NEED either of the two, one or the other will work all the way through, however for best results its best to mix them up, i hear if possible best to do a 3/1 split.
