So whats the general consensus on these boards and strips? The prices seem good.

in comparison to the HLG boards or the chinese knock offs or the strip builds with the f series or hinflux ?

Ive been researching and trying to find the best fit for what i want, been all over the place so forgive my newbness , im learning.

if someone were trying to cover a 4x8 table with max lighting using leds, would you guys use the strips or the boards?
I did a little newbie led math, i think i can put 18 of those strips running on 600 drivers across an 8` footprint, giving me max coverage and more than enough wattage. Doe this sound correct? would you do it? lol

It’s all personal preference. Diff answer for every person.

Atreum products have proven themselves many times over.
3rd party tested and by LEDG.
I have several of their boards and their awesome.

Ya i know what you mean about preference. Some guys take it a little far with the light loyalty lol, im just wanting to hear from you guys who have used the lights for a bit now, was also hoping some who have used the strips would chime in.

The price of these boards and strips are alot better than hlg and comparible to the chinese boards from alibaba, want to do my due dilligence and find the best fit for my room and my budget lol

I have multiple strip builds using Eb gen2 and they are great. Lot more work to build overall but I really enjoy that part so it’s great. I use strictly Bridgelux strips so I don’t have any experience with Sammy’s.

Boards are easier to setup tho

Ya i looked into the strip builds with samsung and bridgelux strips, sourcing in stock parts got frustrating lol, then i ventured into the chinese knockoff thread, still not overly happy with what i found, i kept searching and now came across this thread .

These boards seem more affordable than hlg

I seen the atreum strips and also the new hlg strips and they looked to be the best of both worlds, good lights and easier to setup. Obviously cost is the issue with them and they arent cheap @ 119.99 each

The research continues lol

The 4ft ones are $70 Canadian
Theyll probably give you the best coverage.
There's also the bridgelux 4 footers too.
@Chip Green uses them .I think he's Canadian and could help you with best places to sort parts.
I have the 2ft double row F strips and the 2ft Hinflux strips and I think they're great.

I have had driver sourcing become a problem from Arrow, but as far as strips, they have had every size, brand, K value, I have ever needed... And the shipping was frighteningly rapid. I've seriously had orders on my doorstep in less than 24 hours...
Digikey as well for that matter, I believe they are in Minnesota, so to my area it was a few days at worst.
Digikey for drivers, Arrow for emitters!
The search functions can be a PITA without an actual, manufacturer part #.

Arrow sucks for searches lol
Don't Arrow give free shipping over $200 of parts too at times too?

Yeah, you gotta have manufacturer part #s to find anything quickly.
I have never paid shipping from arrow, even the small orders were free somehow, and when the box showed up the next day I was floored.... Its almost as if they had watched my "cart" for days.. and had the package like somehow, cued up for delivery before I paid....

Thanks for the help and the links, couple months back when i began my search for strips i had no luck finding anything in stock. Glad to see they are available now.

So whats the standard distance between strips?

Wanting to cover a 4x8 table and would want to be in the 40-50 w/ft2 range
