Well im on the verge of choppin this girl so tell me wat u think,im not all too happy wit her production but i cant give her as much full sun as i would like,its bag seed and basically shitty soil-(all organic nutes).yada yada so yea...
I really wanted to get at least 2 more weeks solid full sun but the weather has been shitty for like 3 weeks & a couple buds are showin signs of mould so i dunno wat i should do,a couple sample buds smoked by friends has proved to be top shelf so im between a rock and a hard place as they dont look as 'done' as i think they should be.
Any help??
P.S is the last pic scale or wat,i dunno?!?!

Those buckets r the best i had to work with at the time,they have plenty of room to breathe they're pretty deep (bout 15L or so),as for feeding,they've had plenty n im not gonna feed em now anyway its almost chop chop time.(for 1 of em that is).dude i think your pots are way too small, and they look like they need a decent feed.

i pulled one so far, it yielded 100 ounces wet, maybe 25 dry?
so im hoping for around the 100 ounces dry all up if the other 3 branches are the same
6 pounds does seem over the top tho doesnt it ?

Well I thought I'd add to this post with my first time outdoor summer grow from Sept 08 till early April 09
Location: major capital city in oz. You'll know where there's clues.
Source : Nimbin Bagseed
Number of plants : 8 with 6 in pots in full sun and 2 into the ground shaded. The 2 shaded obviously grew much slower one male and the other flowered late.
Male/Female? : 5 fem 1 male 1 hermy 1 didn't survive. All the plants were pollinated by some random fuckers male/hermy plant nearby except the last shaded female to show who survived pollination.
Type : 2 indica 3 sativa
Biggest fears :
1. Someone ripping me off
Only my partner and I knew of the plants which we constantly moved when we had visitors. I was more worried someone might accidentally stumble upon them as I live in a large neighborhood.
2. Bugs
Well I had major bug problems particularly Scale which I never noticed till Feb when it was too late. I hadn't even heard of it before. Spraying it with a non toxic scale spray didn't seem to help either. I spent a whole afternoon picking thousands of them off by hand and squishing them. Only one plant was badly affected but they all had it to some degree. Every week till harvest I pulled bugs off all the girls. It definitely affected growth. Also had a heap of grasshoppers but they didn't eat much probably too stoned to move. On some plants all the leaves had tiny little eggs on them. I was waiting for them to hatch and decimate the leaves but it never happened.
3. Fire Ant inspection
Early March my next big fear happened early one morning.
Hi sir it's the fire ant people here would you mind if we spread some ant killing insecticide in your backyard this minute. FUCK! Why should I have to allow a complete stranger into my home.
But it's certainly gonna arouse suspicion if i say no.
Fortunately at the time the dog was going nuts.
Yes sir thats fine could you give me 5 mins to put the dog away.
Off I sprint to the backyard to drag all the pots into the garage and uproot the last female growing in soil.
5 mins later the guy is standing 3 feet from where my girl just was and me trying to act cool. He was there all of 60 secs but he had a good look around.
Nothing to see here move along.
I had also managed to quickly sweep up some of the many leaves laying around.
I ended up repotting her and for 2 weeks she struggled to survive but she ended up being my second best plant and the only one without seeds.
Back to the bugs.
So anyway its early Arpil and its been raining on and off for weeks and my girls have still got a few weeks left and the forcast is rain for the next 5 days and I'm getting paranoid about mold. I had managed to keep them in full sun but under an awning so they hardly got wet.
So early Arpril morn I go out shopping for an hour and come home to see the plants surrounded by millions of Midge flies. All the rain had brought them out in swarms. On inspection one plant had thousands stuck to my juicy resin. They were everywhere. They make a nice crackling sound when I smoke em the bastards. That was the final straw for me so I cut them all down early.
So I have no idea how much I got in the end maybe 3 ounces. Its been curing for over a month now and its a good smoke shame it didnt have longer to grow. The one I pulled out and repotted ended up being the best smoke. Thanks fire ant man. It never would have done as well in the shade.
Would I go through it all again probably not. It was a lot of fun growing but outdoors in suburbia is especially stressful.

i dont know how much room you squeezed 8 plants into, but outdoor i would go 1 big one
water it twice a day in high summer, feed it well every 3 days with fish emulsion and seasol, potash as well in flowering
put it where it gets lots of light and you will get more than 3 ounces, more like 3 pounds
as for the bugs, have a healthy garden and it will take care of itself, ladybugs eat the spider mites etc
the flooding rain on the east coast last few weeks has been a bitch tho, for sure

Yeah I didn't plan to have 8 plants that's how many lived. Obviously I was expecting more males and some weak ones. So I really hoped for 3 strong females.
Still life is one learning experience I wont make the same mistakes again.
Some things like the Midge plague you cant prepare for.
I also forgot to mention the time the tank inspector arrived 3 days early and the day I noticed if you stood at the front door and looked at the mirror you could see all the plants in the reflection. Took me 4 months to spot that.

As the title suggests this is my first outdoor harvest and i was reasonably happy with the result as there were a few variables that i couldnt really control which im sure affected the end product.
Firstly: the soil was the cheapest available at the time (i didnt ammend it in any way),i couldnt give her nearly as much full sun as i would've liked as i had to tuck her up the side of the house away from my neighbours' prying eyes (who just happens to be a cop which doesnt help). I also planted at least 2 months later than i wouldve liked,i used all organic nutes (not a bad thing) and was restricted to using a 15L bucket.Enough feelin sorry for meself.
It only took about 5-6 days to dry and has been curing for a couple weeks,by all reports the quality is very good (apparently better than the stuff a close friend has been buying),and my cousin n a couple mates got absolutely fucked up off 2 cones so all in all im happy. I had 69g mostly dry,dunno if i lost anymore weight,its all a learning experience anyhoo.
P.s i got 1 more plant to harvest in a couple weeks which i suspect will harvest slightly less,im gonna be sad when i got no more pretty plants to look at
