Auto Flower Quality?

Well, the auto-weed I've smoked has been allright, not the best, but beats alot of the stuff sold on the streets. It takes something like 8-10 weeks from seed to crop and a standard lowryder yeilds 10 grams of bud or there about. Some people has gotten 25+ g's out of them in hydrosystems under perfect conditions I hear, but in soil it should be around 10 and outdoors maybe as low as 5. But, if you, like me, live in harsh weather and theres no telling how early the frost is gonna bite the babys in the ass, lowryders are a good choice, but lowryder#2 is an even better one, Im not sure how much they would yeild, but google should know the lot 
I saw this video on youtube of this dutch guy who planted shitloads of those babys in a single pot out on his freaking balcony, with just plain potting soil and killed off the males as they showed up and he got a pretty damn respectable crop without any nutes at all. Not a great crop, but an allright one.
If you got the space, the pots and the light, autoflowers is a good buy. If you are looking to grow one or a couple of big bitches, go for a regular photoperiod strain.
I live under pretty much the same short summer conditions as you (even a bit worse) and I go for big yielding plants indoors and autoflowers outdoors. If summer 2011 is anything like 2010 we should be able to get two crops outdoors with autoflowering strains.

I have grown the following: Nirvana Short Rider, Lowlife Ak-47, Joint Dr.'s LowRyder 2, Buddha White Dwarf, and Big Buddha Automatic. I currently have a Lowlife White Russian about a month away from Harvest.
I am an indoor CFL grower with small space, but I have found hydro (I use Hempy Method) produces nugs with greater density.
I tried a normal photoperiod (Nirvana Swiss Cheese b/c it was cheap) and it flowered in 3 weeks under 12/12, but it was a male. I grow one plant at a time for personal consumption, so I need quick, fem, & discreet.
While probably unstable if you read the forums, I have had no problems with Nirvana's Short Rider (grew it twice) and it takes off. Grows quick, flowers quick, finishes quick and smokes nice (lemon taste). The Ak-47 was an awesome high (couldn't feel my face), but super stinky, so I can't do that again. The LR2 was damn nice smoke, but I was in soil, and my yields were terrible. The Buddha White was similar (also soil). The Big Buddha Automatic (NL X Bonkers) is a creeper. Tastes like Sweet Tarts.

just chopped my ak47 X lowryder#2 and yah it is all kinds of stinky! i took a little sample and put it in my vape. um i was totally stupid for hours. it took me about 72 days from puting the seed in the dirt to chop. wayyyyyyyyyy better than any i have ever bought. if you use square buckets and FFOF soil you can squeese 4 of them in a pretty tight space. most of the time you don't even need to add any nutes with the FFOF soil. hopw this helps. oh, and now i am doing 2 blueberry autos.
