Bump. Can someone please answer this question, but for Northern Lights and Bubblicious? If light time is lowered to induce flowering, can it be upped to 16 or 18 again once flowering? Or will an "auto" go back into veg? I know they shouldn't go back to veg, but since they aren't auto flowering on they're own, who knows. Both are at about 60 days veg, 1.5-2 ft tall. White hairs but no buds.

Really, 100 views and no responses!? Does anybody know if an 'autoflower' plant that will not autoflower on it's own can be switched to 12/12 to induce flowering, then switched back to 18 or 20 hours of light after it begins to flower without it re-entering veg state? I ask because people say that auto yield the most under more light. Anybody...? The plants are around 2 ft tall and have been vegging for 2 months....still not flowering. I reduced light from 18 down to 16 in hopes of flowers starting, but still nothing. Bud sites seemed to have formed, and white hairs are showing, but not buds.thanks,Pork

Aight if you had to switch it to 12/12 to start flowering after six weeks its probably due to the fact that this particular seed did not carry the auto trait. Now that you are at 12/12 and its flowering, i would say just leave it there till your done. This is known to happen occasionally.

Thanks 808, do you think this will decrease yield, or not since it really isn't an auto seed? The problem is that they're in the same room with two other auto's that are flowering under 16hrs of light, and I know they're meant to stay under more light for they're entire life... I guess it's a trade off, more yield on the new ones coming in, or more on the existing flowering plants.Fresno - Because autos are supposed to yield more with longer light cycles and I want to get the most out of the 4 months I'll spend on these.
and why would you want to go from 12/12 back to 18/6 just to use more energy??

This happened to one of my diesel ryders a while back. Only thing that happened to me was that I ended up with a 3-foot high sour diesel lol.

Yea that's what I'm afraid of since I don't have unlimited space. Did you have to switch to 12/12 to get it to flower, or did it eventually go on it's own? How did it turn out? I have two Diesel Ryders that actually did flower on they're own, but my Bubblicious and Northern Lights are not.

Dont know if im missing something but how are you growing that one on12/12 but growing your autos at 16/8 if they are in the same room. Did you switch it again to 16/8?

Id keep it in 12/12 for the fact it didn't flower automatically from the beginning.. not to mention stress and energy.. might be less yeild since there would be less energy but also could be more potent under 12/12..

Oh, there is only one room? and more than one plant? did this only happen to only one of the plants.. guess I'm missing something too

They've never been switched to 12/12 actually, they have been running at 16/8 for the last month (18/6 for the first month). Two of the four autos are currently flowering, and two are not. I lowered the light by one hour tonight so now it's 15/9... I'm hoping to use the most hours of light I can and still make them flower, but unfortunately that might be 12hrs.
