PEACE DAYWALKER604 What happened haven't heard from you in a few days. Everything cool on your end? I trust all is well and you are growing along fine. I'm going through a rough patch over here so I was looking to watch a few that were going well and lift my spirits. so how are the ladies doing?
Yo, that was perfect timing. Today is picture day. My ladies had to go through hair and make-up to get ready. Once again, the 1st and 2nd pics are of Hindu Kush. She is right at 14", looking great, got a little funk to her, and full of bud sites. The 3rd and 4th are of BlueRyder. She is about 8", healthy, real frosty, smells great, and is just filling out more and more every day. I love them both and look forward to the harvest.

Now, these are the chicks that I just let stay in the system for the hell of it. They obviously want to live and do great things but I just don't know if it is too late for them. The ruff start might have been too much, but I refuse to let them go as long as they are still green. The 1st is of Lemon Skunk. She actually has some pistils going on under there and I think I will at least get a bowl full from her which is enough for now. The other 3 are LR2's. They are in bad shape, but they actually have some new green growth and little patches of pistils. So, we will just see what happens.

What's the deal with your ladies? Are you talking sexy to them? You know that they need that type of ish from time to time. I know that between you and the folks on this forum that it will get straightened out. These are some sturdy little muthas. Holla!:leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:(good vibes)

PEACE thanks DAYWALKER, I am feeling down (but not out) about my girls and I could use all the good vibes and advice I can get at this time. I'm real glad to see that things are looking good in your part. I trust that i will get mine before it is too late. Once again thanks and GREAT LUCK

PEACE

So, today one of the LR2's went to Cannibus heaven. As these misfits grow they are actually flowering. They are just doing it on their own schedule. Anyway, one of the ladies decided to let her balls fall out of the bottom of her skirt. Yep, my first hermie. So, we are down to 5.

PEACE DAYWALKER, First off let me send my condolences for the hermie. I'm sure you will recieve a bounty because of it so look on the bright side. FOR SOMETHING TO LIVE SOMETHING ELSE MUST DIE..in this case the boy had to go and it will bring about a better crop for you in the long run.

And yes indeed these are some very resillient plants. They bounce back and continue to grow with little or no help and they are hard to kill.

Anyway great luck and BE SAFE...

And this young lady is BlueRyder. She really has not done a lot lately except for some of her pistils turning dark. She has not grown any or even filled out much but otherwise she looks great.

And these are the two remaining LR2's and the one Lemon Skunk. Still just hanging in there.

PEACE. great to see that you are finding a success with at least 2 of them. truth be told the runts or misfits that you are calling are looking better than mine albeit not as buddy. I am trying to save them all right now and it is a losing battle becasue of the timing. They are about 41 days in and they are nearing the end so it is a crazy rush to help them before they are finished. They are miniscule in weight and they are stil growing so it is a good thing. They are just going slowly and not really putting on weight and or height.

My original thought of what they would produce is FAR off what I see at the moment:-(:wall: and i am concerned that they will not be worth the energy spent.....:cuss:!!!! At this point I can only see one zip off of them all (8) and that is nothing at all and maybe even not that! Here's a pic to make you feel better about the misfits that you have and maybe give you a bit of hope for their speedy recovery.

damn can't even upload pix at this time.

PEACE:cuss:

Wow! Do you have any idea of what happened to them? I am just asking because I am sure that I will eventually get around to the same problems. I still am not sure about what happened to my misfits. I have some idea but I will not know until I try new things with my next grow. For now, I am just going to stay away from LR2's for a minute while I test different strains. I consider myself to be in the experimental phase so that anything that I get is just a plus. I cannot lie, I am loving watching these babies do their thang but I am ready to get the new grow started because I know of at least threee major changes I am going to make. For now I guess I need to be happy with the two out of six that I have going. Holla!

So, my mistake of the week involves PH kits. First of all, I know that I need to go ahead and kick out for a real digital ph tester. However, right now I am spending my extra dough on materials for my actual set-up. So, I am still using the drops and the vial. Two weeks ago my ph kit ran out. I figured they had ph kits for fish tanks at Wal-Mart so I would not have to drive across town to the hydro store (lazy/baked.) Long story short......The kits for fish tanks have a different guage and I ended up giving my babies bad water/nutes. I ended up driving to the hydro store and getting a new PH kit (also scooped up some B'Cuzz Hydro Roks for the next grow.) I hope no real damage was done and I am sure that veterans already know about this (or they already have a digital) but I thought I would throw this out there for newbies.:peace:

So, since I have never seen a plant grown successfully to the end I am not sure about when to harvest. These plants are approaching 49 days which is no where near time for them to be done but I think that the small pots that I have them in have stunted their growth. Some of the smaller side sites have gotten to where the leaves around them are dying and the pistils have dried up and changed color. I think that means that those sites have done all they could do so I decided to chop those sites and see what they taste like. We shall see.

Here she is at day 49. As you might can see she is minus 5 or 6 shoots. They are drying. Otherwise, I have switched to water/no nutes to flush them out since I don't think this is going to go much longer. I am not going to rush them but when they are done they are done.

And here is BlueRyder. She started filling out more this week. She stinks to all get out and more and more of her pistils are turning dark. I see the light at the end.

OK, so I had a sack of regular that I was using for some holiday blunting but it ended up to be the equivalent of fescue(right out of the front yard). I looked at the popcorn that I had drying and I thought "why not". So I sprinkled my blunts of reg with the Hindu Skunk that had not been dried properly. And low and behold I got got down right baked. This morning when I was bone sober I put a little piece in a bowl and once again I was fried. It didn't have much smell (I put that on not being dried right) and the smoke was extremely smooth but it got me real nice. Not couchlock nice but just a real nice buzz. I was pretty impressed for a plant that might not make it to it's full term and a piece that was not fully dried and cured. I can't wait for the good stuff.

Well, I ended up chopping the girls a little early because they were not growing any more and all of the pistils were turning dark. I would liked to have gotten more and let it go a little further since they have a short life as it is but I really think that my small buckets restricted their growth. As it is I think I got enough to keep me stoned for a minute while I get my next grow up and going. And since this all is part of the learning phase, I just want to see what growing really good weed is all about. The first pic is of Hindu Kush and the second of BlueRyder.

So, I attempted to dry BlueRyder in my humidor. The humidity stays at around 45%. It stayed in the humidor for about 6 days with me venting it about twice a day(probably really because I wanted to check on it anyway) and trimming her up every 2 or 3 days. After six day the stemmed snapped when I bent it so I moved her to a Mason jar for two days. This was my first real smoke of my own harvest so understand the joy. It was glorious! The look was about a 7. It wasn't real thick or dense but it was sexy. The smell was an 8 which for these purposes was GREAT! And breaking it up - I had to immediately wash my hands. The smell and stickyness was everywhere. The smoke was not too harsh and might get a cough or two from a veteran but the smell and flavor/aftertaste was heavenly. Real Fruity with a pungent finish. And by the way....I am smashed. I actually sat with my cousin(who is a true pothead) and smoked a whole thin blunt of it. It was an enjoyable smoke and we were trashed. This morning the wife and I fired up the water bong and really appreciated BlueRyder. She gets a vote for my permenant strain list. Success!
