Auto Pot feeding system and Air Dome system

Did you use them in a hard plastic pot or a cloth pot?

If hard plastic, Did you find that the use helped to reduce rootbound issues?
I used plastic pots in a 1x1mtr tray with the aqua valve, I put half of the copper sheet under the valve instead of the pots which let the roots grow out into the tray.
I've never flowered anything with the 2 pot system and I've never had anything in it long enough to get root bound.

Wouldn't a fabric pot help you with the air pruning effect?

I figured the fabric pot would not be prone to get rot rot or have reason for air dome.

Only reason I could think it would be helpful is in a plastic pot to air prune the roots to avoid rootbinding in a smaller plastic pot. Not saying it is the only reason, just that I am not able to think of one.

I did a male in this morning after a month and a half growing. The plant was in a small autopot with a normal for autopots setup. Coco and perlite with pebbles in the bottom. The plant looked quite healthy other than little pollen balls forming. This one was spending half a day in autopot system/ half the day sitting outside for the last couple weeks.

Having to do the males in when they are some of the nicest looking plants is the biggest down side of regular seed.

Buddy get you a jewelers loop and check out each node and you can see hairs and pistils for your female and of corse balls for males when they are really small before you even put them in the auto pot! It’s very easy I haven’t grown a male over 8 inches tall years!

. I’ve had tremendous good luck with them but the secret is being able to grow them big take an extra month if you have big enough space. Where I was growing at we had 12 foot ceilings and used 1000 watt hps and mh lights we put 4 foot cages around them and bush them out really nice where they are almost taking the the whole cage up about 4ft across and when they get to the top of the 4ft cage we put them on 12/12. When they get big and really start feeling off the auto pot system with air domes they go crazy the bigger better i have found if you possibly can!!!

Yes I have a automatic feed/dtw system it's not fancy but it does feed them reliably every 2-4 hrs.
Yeah I’ve made systems of all kinds throughout the years but if you don’t have one of the actual Auto pot system you should try 1 out. It’s different than a feed system like what you are talking about having. There’s always water in the trays of the auto pot it never dries out. That’s why it’s so important to have the air bubbling all the time. It’s really like half dirt grow and as they gets bigger it turns into more of a deep water culture system like a bubble bucket!
