auto questions

This is my first time posting on RIU.
Anyways i will be growing 6 autos. Under a 600w m.h and hps. Hydroponicaly in DWC 5 gallon buckets. Using general hydroponocs Flora Series

Performance Pack includes:

16 oz. Flora Micro; 16 oz. FloraGro; 16 oz. Flora Bloom; 8 oz. Flora Blend; 8 oz. Liquid KoolBloom; 4 oz. FloraKleen; 1 oz. Rapid Start; 1 oz. Floralicious Plus; and ph tester but i have a meter for that.

I will be using an 8"exaust fan to take the hot air out. And a 4in fan to bring it in. As well as c02 pads to help keep that c02 lvl up. Ive only got ive only got one grow under my belt about 5yrs ago grew put two bagseed for 8months and never sexed them come to find out i grew two HUGE males. Lol so tht was a fail.

thc bomb auto
by bomb seeds x5

Purple express auto x1-3 (and replace any thc bombs that may die)
By freedom seeds

Ive seen multiple newbies pulling upwards of 2 zips per bomb so thats a consideration

I was thinking around 13--16oz
Or is that too much.
I will be taking very good care of them and definitely make a grow journal will be starting in beginning of dec

I have a feeling someone is gonna tell you the co2 pads are a waste, but I will let one of the veterans go there.

Thats possible. I saw a dude over here pull 24 oz from a single plant. Blue mammoth auto. I couldn't believe it until i saw it. Good luck!!!

Size of the room is a closet its wide but is about 6 ft x 2.5 to 3 ft but i was thinking about sticking some spray painted white plywood in there to shorten it to just big enough for the plants to be as close as possible for ample light but not to close to where the cluster fuck and compete for light. Also lst? Any advice or tips?

Also ive heard mixed results about the c02 pads but the more recent reviews say they most certainly do increase overall yield

CO2 pads theoretically will increase your yield but in practice you won't really even notice and they are not worth the money you put into them. Plenty of other things that would be more beneficial for the same amount of dough. I wouldn't make it your room any smaller, they'll get plenty of light as is.

What are some other good ways to get more c02 for bigger yield?
Also u think i should keep it wide? I thought that would waste light since it has to travel a ways out there to get reflected. But you think theyll still get good light? Ill be using a basic reflector. I found a 600w light kit for only $103 on ebay has anyone used this brand?

Assuming that is the vendor "digitalgrow" I purchased my 1000w kit from them for $166, although I got the air-cooled hood. There's pictures of it on the journal that's linked in my signature. Quality equipment, got here fast, no complaints other than a fair sized dent in one flange that didn't affect performance or function in any way. I would definitely spring for the air-cooled hood if you can afford it.

As far as CO2 goes, if you're growing indoor the chances are there will be higher levels of CO2 than there are outside your house. If you're running CO2 you ideally want a closed loop system so your fans aren't sucking all of it out of your grow room. If you're exchanging air from outside the grow area, you're lowering the efficiency of whatever CO2 system you're using.

Mats, bags, etc. aren't really worth it compared to an actual CO2 system. The best deal to date I've found on a complete system (although I have not looked into the quality of the product or read reviews) can be found here:

If you're really set on running CO2, you'll need to get something like that to make it noticeable and cost effective.

tl;dr: Unless you're buying a complete system, save your money and spend it on more useful things like air-cooling your lights. Having all of your environmental factors dialed in and able to be easily adjusted to whatever range you want is infinitely more productive in the long run.

EDIT: Keeping it wide is better in your scenario as you're going to be cramming six plants into a very small space. Even auto flowers like more than 1sqft a piece to grow. With a grow room that small you won't really be wasting any light.

Thanks for the info much appreciated and thanks for joining us! So what i should buy one of these connect my exaust fan to it sucking th hot air through tubing into the attic. While running that c02 production equipment. And this should improve bud production by how much % would you estimate

It'd be better to get the 600w kit you were previously looking at but upgrade it to the 6" air-cooled hood and grab a cheap 6" booster fan for <$20. The CFM of the fan doesn't need to be too high, it's not cooling much. I wouldn't worry about CO2 at this point if I were you, that's really something that you add in when everything else is absolutely perfect. Truthfully you need a lot of money to run CO2, as it's not just the CO2 equipment you're buying, you've got to buy or already have every other piece of equipment to keep everything else perfect.

I'd ignore the CO2, let the pads you already have do their thing and not worry about it anymore than that.

Will do! The only thing is it wont let me choose the reflector so i have to buy that separately. And i already bought a 8" 420(lol)cfm and 8"exaust tube for exaust. Also should i worry about mylar or just make sure my walls are solid white

Also im using 1.5" rockwhool cubes with exanded clay
in 6"in basket lids (dwc)

You use the exact same medium and exact same cube size as I do, and yes white walls will work fine. Just make sure you keep your water level low enough to prevent the rock wool cube from being saturated. If your cube is wet, your water level is too high. 1" below net pot works for me.

Kalashnikova is by Greenhouse Seed Co. I'm actually popping three Kalashnikova Auto's right now. I've been hearing a lot about Midweek Song lately, will probably be where I order from next. Although, I've got way too many seeds here/on the way as is and still not enough equipment to grow all the plants I'm legally allowed. Currently have 3/18 plants, but they're getting chopped in a week and a half and I have seeds germinating so I'm hoping to be at 12/18 plants by the end of the month.

As he said, auto will still need room. I have one squatted just over 2ft in flower and she bushed out about 2sqft. My second auto is also rapidly expanding sideways. Not sure if keeping them short makes em do that or not, but they are.

So should i hang the light higher to make them strectch? Could i lst, or scrog the autos? To get a even canopy. Also how should i place them
i was gonna do 2 rows of 3 side by side. Or should i do all six in one row?

Im not at my grow area as im out of town.
But it might be more like 6x4 im not sure i know it was as long as my finger tip to shoulder. And im 6"1 lol still haven't gotten a measuring tape lol

I'm probably not the best to be able to answer this. I'm only growing 2 at a time currently under an LED setup. I keep the LED about 6 inches or less from the top to keep them short. I also have very limited space/setup. I do know that when I raise the LED from the plants, they start stretching within days.
