So I got this auto water system and instead of steaking them in up top of the pot I'm using fabric pots and trays and living soil so I'm gonna steak them in the center under and hopefully that will help me more allow for the fabric pots sit in the puddle of water somewhat!!

I think that would siphon your reservoir into your tent...
There's clear trays under each spot for each fabric pots most growers in living soil and fabric pots I have been seeing have been watering the pot also to wick up water ensuring moist soil threw.

If I'm not mistaken, one benefit of top feed that you'd lose is that the action of the water seeping down pulls in some O2 along with it. For bottom watering I'm a fan of SIPs now. If I were doing drain-to-waste or any automated drip I'd probably stick with the top feed model IMO.

Some points:
1. Fabric pot+aerated soil (like 40% perlite/coco aeration) will act like an evap cooler always transferring water to roots/cool sides of the fabric and all thise movement and aeration supplies enough o2.
2. Small plants need little water or anything so u can top hand feedem till they get bigger.
3. I switched to black saucers they stay cleaner because of less algae growth IME.
4. Organic is e z and means no drain to waste or runoff needed.
5. Once established just place the driiper in the tray.
6. Dont ever let it sit in water, it will look like it and suck it up in few hours.
7. u want some wet dry cycle but the fabric sides should always feel cool 3/4th down.
Hand weigh the bag when the plants are looking perky thats where a little heavier to a little lighter is ok.
The more often u can water in small amounts while allowing some dry wet cycle is what gave me the best buds.
The pulling O2 stuff is really for Hempy and non organic to pull all the salts down from the top.
There are salts in tap so i recommend watering it outside to runoff maybe once a month.
