This is my first grow so I'm just looking for some noob info.

Set Up: 3 Gallon homemade aeroponic, 400 watt MH about 2 1/2 feet above plant. FoxFarm vegging nutes, lights 20/4

My plant is about 8 inches tall and looking very healthy and bushy (i believe). I ordered Early Widow seeds from advanced seeds and was told they would flower automatically by now and are supposed to be finished by 8 weeks. I believe that the preflowers are finally just beginning to show at 4 weeks now. I also have alternating nodes along almost the entire main stems.

I dont care at all whether it is an Auto or not, I kind of hope they gave me regular feminized seeds for the hopes of higher yield, but i was wondering if i should switch to 12/12 soon to initiate flowering. I know the plant will get much larger during flowering and I am afraid if i wait too long i will not have the space required for a mature plant.

This plant is also growing at an unbelievable rate lately, please reply asap before it grows too large for this room!

You can run autos under 24 hours of light, and in fact, if you can, you should. The plant doesn't produce new cells without energy and it doesn't make energy in the dark. I'd say the plant is on time at 4 weeks and looks great. The ruderallis traits will keep the plant short.

I know, but im beginning to think this might not actually be an autoflower, if it was shouldnt the plant have started producing by this point in the grow?

I doubt it's going into a stretch period if it isn't... think about it, is the plant behaving like a regular plant? I never get growth spurts until I start 12/12.... auto's do it automatically due to the ruderallis genes... I can't tell you what you have, but it seems like it is acting like an auto to me. if need be, you can always supercrop it if it gets too tall...

Alright, thanks Serapis. I will keep posting pics throughout the rest of the grow. So final decision, keep lights on for 24 hours and wait?
