AUTOFLOWER growers : Yields and strains.

So for everyone growing an autoflower
what has been your best yield
- how many plants
- grow area
- lighting
- strain

I have been growing for many, many years, but am now doing my first autoflowering grow. I am using Ganja Dwarf Lowryder (reg) seeds from Amsterdam seeds. a 3' X 6'
grow room. Am using a homemade hood with 2 - 85 watt (actual wattage) CFL 6500K, and 8 - 26 watt (actual wattage) cfl 2700 K. The hood is 2' - X 3' overall. I germed 4 seeds in paper towels (took less than 24 hrs) and planted in potting soil, w/nutes in it, mixed w/perlite and vermiculite. time needed to sex plants was advertised at 14 - 17 days (actually took 24 - 26 days) and now at 2 days short of 8 wks. the plants (3 of 4 made it, all ladies) they look great and the nodes are going nuts, but no real buds yet. As an old style grower I always used 5 - gal buckets, so I used them for this grow also. I'm not sure yet if the buckets are too big, and slowing things down or not. I do know that the plants were advertised as 30 -50 cm in height, and are now 2 1/2 ft and very bushy. The main stems are as thick as my index finger (not a small finger) and the nodes are about 2 - 3 inches apart. I have added some 0-45-0 which is causing a growth surge currently. I am a little concerned about the time it is taking, but the plants look very good. I removed some of the fan leaves to let the light in better also. as a medical user, I also am interested in strain reviews for autos, and any other advice that may be pertinent to autos. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I've done quite a few autos in the past year or so.

Best yield has been World of Seeds Afghanistan Kush Rider. 2.5 oz cured. 400 hps. Soil. 4x4x8 tent. The most consistant performer has been Nirvana Short Rider at 1 - 1.5 oz cured. My personal favorite is Dinafem Haze Auto. Small yield at .5 oz but super mellow yet potent smoke.

I have some Pakistan Rider and Nirvana Sky going indoor and Super Sonic Crystal Storm growing outside that looks great so far. See photo...

Little butch that seems to be a good grow, what are you expecting to yield and when do you think will harvest?
have you done any auto grows before and are yougoing to stick to CFL'S your whole grow?

its still growin but about 1.5 weeks away from harvest. my avatar to the side (left) is Blue Himalaya Diesel
I'd say I mite get a lil over an Ounce using a 400 watt MH , sun sometimes, and a sumtimes cfl's. Idk I hope to get 2oz! I need to push it to 10 weeks

Nope. Only mh/hps.

My first grow, outdoors. Put an Alaskan Thunderfuck clone in the ground and has been flowering since July. Hoping to get atleast an ounce. It's just in the dirt in the ground, no pitting soil even.

If you check out my last post, you will get the Ganja Dwarf Loryder story. lots of non-auto grows in past, but now in a condo. not much room, so trying my first auto-grow w/cfls. my concerns are the time (now 9 weeks, and the lack of buds. These things are supposed to be small and done by now. Maybe it's the 5 gal buckets instead of 2 gallon, I don't know, never having done autos. I'll post a couple pics (plants and homemade hood layout. Any and all advice and comments are welcome. I do have to say that whatever it is is healthy. hood contents: 8-26 watt(actual) for208 watts of 2700K, and 2-85 watt (actual) 6500K for 170 watts. lights stay 2 - 4 inches from tops
