autoflower growing too tall. 6 FT and seem to stop flowering?

its continuing to grow taller im at week 6 flowering. using flower nutrients (advanced nutes in soil)

basic set up:

STRAIN: NEW YORK CITY DIESEL AUTOFLOWER BY ADVANCED SEEDS.


light: 1,000 W HPS by Ipower.
Soil: Ocean Forest
Pot size: 3 gallon grow bag.
2 Home oscillating fans (3 speed).
PH: always at 5.5

Nutrients: Fox Farm Grow Big for grow.
complete advanced nutrient line for flower.
Feeding never exceeds 900ppm.


im 6'2. This is a picture of the plant next to me for length reference from the 3 gallon grow bag.

im following "life of an autoflower" rubric. basically you add grow nutrients during the elongation period of flowering to make the plant grow as high as it can. AND THEY DID. but now that im week 6 into calyx/pistol development, this particular phenotype is already passed my light fixture.

I had to cut the FF Grow Big " IN SPITE OF " Feeding schedule from Fox Farms.
I tried doing only Bloom but it stuck at an early flowering stage up to week 11 !
I chalked it up to bad genetics - All my other Autos finish out around day 77-83.

It would nothing but go vertical :wall:

You're good you still got another month and a half or so of flower. They'll dense up. I would maybe get a bigger pot though as that plant has probably way outgrown the pot.

No .... The fuckin thing FROZE at a partial flower and just stretch , i actually ran the fucker to week 13 ! Then i gave up and killed that freak. It had very small flower sites , but good sugar. It wouldnt gain any size or weight , just the same for weeks. I looked over plant when i cut it down ( see maybe seeded / hermed ) .... Nothing. No male parts , no bananas , no seeds .

Just a plant that stayed undeveloped.

I pop another and it grew ok. So i chalk it up to a genetic misfire - bad stock.

I feel maybe I have some genetic issues looks like stuck in pre flower. Growing like crazy. 1 plant 5'6" 2 others 3' 4'. They just keep growing going into week 10 chop? Or let go? Is the question.

No ... They were narrow , skinny , but frosty . They never bloomed properly , it stalled and never budged . I threw bloom only , 11/13 cycles , bloom enhancers , shit , piss and even farted on the bitch .. And it stayed the same for weeks !

Being this is supposed to be an AUTO , i ran it to week 15 THEN I GAVE UP ON HER.

I literally took it outside , stood on the ground and soccer kicked the fuck out of it.
After a day or two , i just mulched it.
