I've seen some stains by this breeder touted on other forums but posts about them seem to end around 2018. However, their website is up and running.

Does anyone know if they're still a good choice?

Mephistogenetics.com is closed to Jan 6th for hollidays. They will be open for business than. I'd never advise buying other than them for their seeds due to the freebies they throw at you, but with 3 weeks you could find a strain somewhere else and get a good jump/feel for their beans before diving in. Attitute has some but alot of strains sold out. What type strain/effects/plant growth are you looking for and maybe i can help you find something of theirs to snag up for a dip in the Mephisto pool?

Thanks! I won some seeds from the Vault and have just started a small grow, so I can certainly wait until after the 6th for Mephisto.

I smoke both recreationally and for medical reasons (some nerve pain and low level muscle spasms, sometimes difficulty sleeping). On the recreational side, I'm open to anything good. A ton of Mephisto offerings look good to me, though I lean towards nighttime and evening strains.

I was looking at Autoflower Portal due to some older reviews on their Black Dragon and JEM strains.

Freebies alright, order 6 seeds, got 15
 
Portal has sent me two order successfully, i'm about to start growing some now. Will tag you in a post when they are running. Fast and convenient ordering and shipment. I've never been able to get though mephistos order system sadly. I went though portal to get some of the mephisto crosses they are working with as an alternative because i know they've been breeding and networking for a long time. I got some nice freebies and art with my order, I'm happy so far.

Autoflower portal is up and running, there are many growers who use them. There's a autoflower forum with lots of reviews and journals. I know it's against rules to post links. You can message me for the website info if your still interested. Good luck.

I can see my 4 almach seedlings splitting their shells and growing, they are the only ones I planted and didn't cover with soil, they just sat in indentations. Its good to have these fresh portal seeds on deck but i need my old stock to follow suit. Hopefully my short stuff, positronics and emerald triangle gear is working as well and can find their way out from under the bit of soil that got washed over them.
 
Almach is 4 for 4 pushing healthy growth. I have seeds from a pack labeled portal mix 10 autoregs, im starting the 4 seeds that are larger than the rest, im guessing its all one strain, the smaller seeds seem to be 3 of one kind and 3 of another. Not sure if this will help other people who get the same pack but im doing what i can to try and keep track of the chaos of the mixed packs i got from them. The breeders mix packs are clearly 4 different strains packed in 1 bottle. Im less certain about how the portal mix is distributed.

I've never grown any mixed packs from the portal I like to know what I have and can expect. If I have plenty jars then I might grow unknown strains but it makes a little more undesirable knowing their reg beans as well. The Almach is supposed to be pretty good. Have you started a journal of the Almach strain or going to?
 
I checked out Mephisto and their direct prices got even better for 2020! Sadly, they seem to be out of stock or not producing the Afghan-type varieties that looked the best for me (sour crack, 24 carat, strawberry nuggets). I might still try their OG varieties for non-medical purposes.

Just checking around, Mandalorian Genetics has varieties based on some of the Autoflower Portal seeds. Alf #5 is similar to Dragon varieties and they have a Jem #9, which is exactly what I want for pain and, predictably, is sold out.

It seems like AP is out of stock of Dragon and JEM, so mandalorian seems like a solid option in the same vein.
