Best way to make a screen is to build the frame yourself out of cheap 2" x 1/4" wood or something similar. Then attach small nails every inch or so around the framework to tie hemp, yarn, fishing line, etc to. The nails should be sticking up, so that you can weave your material through them, keeping it nice and tight. That way you get exactly the size screen you want, with exactly the size holes you want.

Oh and by the way, the ladies look great man! Looks damn close to harvest time :) Sorry I have been very busy and haven't been checkin the thread every day.

Peace

You good kb, preesh the kind words bout my ladies & their maiden voyage.

Great call on the screen, preesh the help.

Yeah trichs have gone from clear to milky, wantin to wait til they are nice & amber like u said.

Think 1 more week (wanna chop the weekend of 4-2) will get me that amber, or should i go ahead & plan on choppin this weekend.

My other main source here had advised to start the chop this weekend for the top fatties & try to let the little popcorns do as much finishin as they can, and finish choppin those the weekend on 4-2.

Lastly, see ya been advisin on flush too. But believe that must be for soil.

Again the other dude I been talkin to on riu says he only flushes hydro for x2 or x3 days w/ straight distilled h2o.

What are ur thoughts?

Obviously your not growing INSIDE bone heads from uk. But nice try. I'll say it again, theres no need to change bulbs ON AN INSIDE grow.
hey man, you wanna slap up a pic of how "proper" autos are supposed to be done w/ out changin bulb?

So that we the "uninitiated" may be enlightened?

For real, I would like to see contrast between an hps & halide

Nice call homie. I'll second that. I think this guy just likes to be loud. Let's see those pics of the halide flowers...

Sure you CAN flower a plant with a halide, but every nerve I got says it's best to switch to HPS for flowering. Maybe I'm just a moron, but I'm willing to shut up and learn from others.:weed:

You will get better veg growth with metal halide and better flowering growth with high pressure sodium
It is best to switch out bulbs but is definitely not necessary
You will still get great growth with HPS during veg

yeah folks, thats what I have heard from virtually EVERY source I have consulted.

It is ideal to veg w/ halide & bloom w/ hps. But I have spoken, known & seen that an hps is perfectly on the money to take you all the way thru if u don't have the benefit of halide. Where as, I have heard & seen FAR less that say that a halide would accomplish the same feat (take all the way thru if you did not have luxury to switch bulbs). Not tryin to split hairs @ all, just goin off my limited experience, and trustin implicitly the multitude of experience of the cat from which I heard that method. As I have seen the results, and the proofs in the puddin there baby.

I personally vegged my autos on halide til pre-flowers (aproox. 3 weeks from sturdy seedling) & switched to hps. I am very happy with my results, and the mentor I have been using here def. prescribed exactly that regimen as well.

I have seen some people use MH from veg into the first couple weeks of flower to supposedly keep the stretch down
I don't know how true that is seeing as plants will stretch regardless when in dark. Darkness triggers auxins in the plant that aid in cell elongation
That is why you get much more stretch in flower over veg because of the longer dark period

Nah, i used rapid rooters for my autos & photo girls. They worked great, save about x4 which I let get too dry, over on a diff. side of the tray that I didn't pay close enough attention to.

The key with them is to let 'em soak in some stimulator (i use root 66) for a few hours before droppin beans in. Keep humidity up round 60% (with dome on til sprout), and spray lightly w/ plain distilled for a few days, not much, just enough to keep them moist to the touch. I love 'em though. Great results thus far.

I soak beans in plain water for 24 hours, and then throw them into the soaked rooter plugs. Virtually outta bout 3 dozen, those 4 were the only ones that didn't work out.

Good luck!

Heres a few pics of plants grown with veg lighting only. Enjoy UK

yeah, those are super sexy. Evidently a halide bulb indeed worked well for ya.

Those russian rocket fuels, thats AUTOFEM right? (Which is chem dawg / og kush, yeah).

I really wanted to try those out, but I screwd the dog & my beans got lost in the mail.

They are in that gel capsule w/ the powder & shiz in it, yeah?

Those spainerds are puttin out some really nice strains. really wanted to try that rocket fuel. Miss the chem dawg

No the Russian Rocket Fuel in from Short Stuff. Got them from the Attitude. Hell of a seed company.
Actually I grow with 432 watts of fluorescent lighting. There high output with low heat. The fixture is 2x4 and holds 8 bulbs. You should come and check out my Autoflower grow group. You could also check out my pic albums. Full of differant Auto's I've grown. Later dude.

Indeed, attitude is Very quick, a little pricey, but WELL worth it for all the options, tracking # provided @ time of order, etc.

Not to mention top shelf beans.

So do you hold tight on halides all the way thru on reg. photo beans as well??

From what I heard, halide is WAY better for establishin lots o branches tight together, but I noticed I had to crank my fan to bout twice the speed I did for a hps.

Gettin ready to replace my autos w/ some nice photo beans (most from the tude), I do have a halide bulb, I would just need to run my fan @ full tilt, cause I'm gonna have a separate hps goin, which I don't have a conversion for (must run hps).

Lemme know what ya think, I saw ur puddin, I might drink that punch.

holla back
