DO autos take longer to finish outdoors? Thought I read that.
Hey businessmen,
I haev very little experience with growing outdoor (the grow im doing at the moment is my first...!). However, I am more an indoor grower and if I compare my current grows (both indoor and out) of the same strain, I have to say that the outdoor strains are developing much slower than the indoor. Whether or not this will affect the finishing date is yet to be seen (it might just be that the outdoor strains will just end up being smaller plants but finish when they are supposed to).
From my understanding, and this could be wrong, Auto strains are supposed to finish within the same time constraints wherever they are. For example, the Lowryders and BB Autos im doing are supposed to finish 80 days from seed, indoor or out.
However, from past experience from indoor growing, I have found that this is not necasserily the case and they can finish earlier or later than they are supposed to. Actually, with me (and this may be a fault of my growing technique) I have found that more often than not they finsh LATER than they are supposed to.
Anyway, back to ur original question, I believe Autos are supposed to finish at the same times regardless of indoor/outdoor, though when outdoor you have much less control over factors such as temp, water, humidity etc and these can very much prolong the flowering stage, SO yes they should finish at the same time indoor/outdoor given that outdoor is the ideal growing climate but chances are it wont be so will probs end up being longer.
Phew. Hope that kinda helped... Maybe it didn't!!
Peace
