Peace. i have a problem I think and I wouldlike to get some opinions on it. I have the LowLife AK47 autos going and I found one which has a weird growth where the calyx is supposed to be. The whole plant has pistils at the top and then at the fourth node it has one pistil growing out of what looks to be balls but not nearly developed ( don't even have a form just look like sacks that are crushed but they grew like that). My question is this. I have already pulled off the one which looked more like some balls, but the other that has a pistil (very short and crispy looking) I left on it. Is it possible that the thing is still female because it wasn't confirmed balls per se and the branches coming off of the node were pistils. The one that I pulled off wasn't really balls either just closer than the one left on and it didn't have a pistil coming out of it.

So if it is a hermie and it only grows the one ball sack can I keep pulling it off soon as it shows and keep the plant female? (the beans are fem beans and I know they will exhibit this hermie thing from time to time) Or am I doomed and just have to kill it so it doesn't pollenate the girls?

I harvested my 2 last lowryders tonight. I got a 38gram cola and 28gram cola but left the bottom half of the 2 plants so I can do a double harvest.

Here's a question for all who has grown these plants.How many have bought Feminized seed and had males to popup ?Not Hermie's but I believe they were males,It seems that a few of the threads I've read there seems to be a few males pop out in them,am I wrong but it just doesn't seem to be as concrete as alot of regular strains..

so far so good on my 10 fem aks. pistil city. i also got some fem hindu and diesel. ill let u know how those turn out. i ended up with more fems than i thought 4 real which is a good thing so i cant plant as many kushes as i wanted cuz i thought i would have room wen flowerin starts. 5 out of 7 the unsexed joint docs i planted were fems. got those goin right now with the aks. its blueryder and dieselryder

lowryder has a lush smell m8 and its covered in trichs great plant, but after just harvesting my 4th grw wit em i have had enuff of the high leaf to bud ratio, and will be going wit something dif next time round. worth a grow though m8 lush taste too, like a sweet yet musky taste that lingers at the roof of ya mouth mmmmm smokin 1 right now giv it a go

You can call it a Hermie ,A Lady ,or whatever you want but the bottom line is,If there's nothing there to fertilize it (no pollen)you won't have any seeds.And thats what your looking to do in the end, so it's all good

PEACE. Indeed, I would need a pollen donor if I was attempting to get seeds from them all but, this is not the case my friend. I had planned to use a male from another strain to pollenate only one female from the same strain. I had the fem beans from a different strain and didn't want to pollenate them with any pollen (100% male or "Hermie"). Since I have this problem I wasn't going to even pollenate the original ones that I had planned for. Now, my mission is to get sinsemilla bud from these now as I don't want any pollen crosses and mixes, as this is my first pro bean grow and I want to get the strains that were meant to be before I go messing with them.

So no, I don't want that and if you look a bit closer at the post I didn't say anything as such(...I guess). But thanks for acknowledging it at teh very least and taking the time to reply. What the hell, even though you clearly didn't read it all the way out.....+rep for posting on it.

PEACE I may have read it wrong because of grammatical error or sentence structure, But I read this as I am trying to pollenate the ladies and i am not. I was asking if I can find the sacks as they are coming in and pull them off will it stress the plant an dmake it grow more or will I be okay as long as I can find it before it grows.

IF YOU ARE SAYING THAT THIS IS FINE THEN I TRULY APPOLOGIZE. I READ IT WRONG (and maybe you were a bit vaugue). I MEANT YOU NO ILL SENTIMENT WHATSOEVER

I've just spent the last 3 days catching up with this thread, but I must say this is probably the best thread on the topic of AF strains I've ever stumbled on. Very informative indeed.

Except for the one thing that I keep anticipating as I read towards the end of someone's grow report, but then whoops! he doesn't mention it! HOW WAS IT? I know there is an extra topic called smoke reports but AF strains are not really mentioned a lot. And what better way to conclude a grow report by describing the actual experience that is the reason for all the trouble you've gone through.

For anybody who has grown Auto AK47 or Easyrider, give me a description of the smoke. Is it that heart-pounding eye-watering shit that makes you forget WTF you were just saying a minute ago, or is just a good buzz. Give me a benchmark comparison of a more popular strain.

I've tried lowryder2 & auto ak47.
Both have a lovely smooth taste (after a good curing)
The auto AK is more potent than the LR2. I'd say I'm more sociable on LR2 whilst the AK is more relaxing and great after a hard days work!
The AK also smells a lot more skunky than the LR2 which is a bit more sweet.

Hey man, from my experience you can get a couple seeds on a plant where there are no visible signs of male or even pollen sacks. On one of my previous grows I found single seed pods with a seed in them. But they were not on the flowers. They were at the main stem where a node was. Just a single sack with a seed in it. Marijuana is a very tough plant and can do some amazing things to survive. The chance that the seed is female is very high also since there were no male genes around. Kinda like making female seeds. If you find one keep it. And no you will not hurt the plant by pulling them off. It will do just fine. I have one Roadrunner I got as a free one, from Attitude of course. Never thought about doing any though until I saw how this one is doing. Now I'm thinking about doing more. Here's a couple pics of the one I have. I pinched it by mistake so I have 2 colas. I just have it under some CFL's with some of my vegging plants. I can't wait for it to finish and try it. It smells really good. Not as frosty as one of my other strains though.

I checked out ur Auto AK47 grow journal till the point where u tested some pop corn buds. U said u would make another smoke report after curing and of the LR2, but it never came. But better late than never!

I do have a question regarding the soil. I found an organic rich soil mix that says it provides enough nutes for 6-8 weeks. That's almost the entire life span of an AF. Seeing that AFs are very sensitive to overfeeding, could one actually grow in a rich soil mix without using any nutes?
