Autoflower Thread & Resource Guide

just read all 181 pages in one day flat. well i skipped over alot of the bs. but very usefull thread. seems like i purchased the right seeds for a hidden operation(lowryder). started 4 seeds in grow pellets 5 days ago and all but one have turned to seedlings and im hopeful about the 4th. theyre currently in a small greenhouse box outside during the day, while i finish my grow box (2'x2'x3') wooden box painted white. going to make a intake exhaust system and custom built a led light panel with blue and red leds putting out about 180 watts. ive grown bubba before in soil and had decent results. this is my first AF. IM kinda iffy on using nutes thinking about just buying some good organic soil when i put the pellets into 2 gall containers. i want to keep the girls as small as possible. I would love more info on leds if anyone has any? or comments on my setup.

hey whats going on with all the other auto's out there...been growing 2 lowrdyer 2's at about day 26 i believe they have been flowering for around three. One is now a little over 2 feet and the other is just under. cant wait till i get to harvest these beauties :weed:

They look fine. In my experience, biobloom doesn't provide enough nitrogen for some strains, if you have some bioveg, add a couple of ml / litre every watering as it has a good amount of N.
I've read that it's best to give molasses once a week; 1 teaspoon / litre. (I do), you can also ease off the top max, I would use half that.
Do you know what the PH is of your run off water?
If you're at 6 weeks, you probably have 3 weeks to go, the leaves will yellow anyway.
If you are using all organic fertiliser & food, you can flush a week before harvest - twice the amount of water of your pot size, eg 8ltr pot, flush with 16ltr water.
good luck and don't cheap out on the curing.

thanks mate kinda answer i wanted !
think ive been over doing the molasses teaspoon per 2litres every water.
i dnt have an accurate PH meter ,the solution i feed i get to within 5-7 but difficult to test run off due to the colour it turns .
as im a noob i only used cheap potting soil and added perlite so im not sure if the nutes in that ran out b4 i started feeding ,so any advice is good . i dnt have much spare time so trawling 190 pages is hard .
when i flush do u mean flush every day with x2pot volume . thanks again

You flush once to rid the soil of nutrients 1-2 weeks before harvest, after you flush, just water the plant as normal without the nutes of course.
If you want any more info, check out my auto AK47 grow journal linked in my sig.

hey everyone, so i have one lowryder #2 and its almost week 6 with no signs flowering
coolbreeze13-202112-albums-lowryder-2-picture872980-img-0336.jpg

im debating giving it 36 hours of darkness to see if that triggers flowering or leaving it to grow bigger, any thoughts or ideas?

I would not give it 36 hours of darkness. Light does not trigger flowering with autos. The plant looks small for 6 weeks. What kind of lights are you using?

its under 250 watt t5 fluorescents, its a little small because i fed it a little nutrients week 3 and my lowryder got a bit of nute burn so im pretty sure thats what stunted it

wow that is really small for 6 weeks, i would stop feeding with nutes all togother for a week and slowly start feeding again.

ok everyone i have just started a test to see if hydroponics really do make that extra difference in growth in autos, i have 6 regular seeds 3 of them in my hydro and 3 in soil , they are 10days old and under my 250hps in my closet, strain is Hindu kush i will post pictures in a few days they are only 4-8 cms tall atm.

i only fed it nutrients once in week 3 but i guess the soil still had lots of nutrients cause it got burned along with one of my other plants, my other plant was so bad i had to toss the leaves were clawing like crazy. Anyways im also gonna put in some 2700k bulbs to hopefully encourage flowering a bit. i dunno if i should feed it nutes because when my plant got nute burn it was in a small 6" pot and now i have it in 2 gallon pot which i just transplanted it into a couple days ago. if i see no signs of flowering by week 7 though im gonna put into 36 hours of darkness because if it doesn't flower by week 7 im thinking maybe there was a seed mix up but i doubt it

Dayummmmm .... why are mine so freakin' short? The last LR2 I harvested was only about 14" tall and my youngsters aren't nearly as big as these. Of course, my youngsters are indicas (Hindu Kush), so maybe that's part of it. But I'm running 4 27w CFLs ... would more watts make them taller?

IMO i need atleast 100watts per plant for them to grow decently but u wont evere get there premium results with cfls ... 250 hps all the way

Ah well, guess I'll just have to settle for the shorties ... hps won't fit in my pc grow case stealth model. :)

Oh and can anyone tell me when to put an autoflower from the 6500 CFLs into the 2700k CFLs for flowering? I have a girl almost 5 weeks old that is starting to flower. I moved her under the flowering lights, but she's still only about a foot tall ... should I leave her under veg for a while longer?
xxoo

Hi peeps. Sorry to interupt but this of course on topic on autoflower. I'm growing Fast Bud Automatic in a grow box with restricted height. I've got em on 20/4 under a metal halide. Want them to start budding already. Does anyone know if turning to hps will help induce this or is it a matter of tyme? They're doing really so far and have been regulating ph perfectly. I wanted them to grow only 40cm and thus potted them in a 4.5 litre pot. Anyone grown these? I'm also growing white dwarf and easy ryder. Will post pictures.
