Autoflower Thread & Resource Guide

Id be interested to hear any thoughts on that too. This is my first grow, potted them straight in 6 litre pots, which is just over 1.5 gallons. I gave them a good watering a couple of hours before sowing the germinated seeds, then drip watered the spot I put the seed in, and poured a bit down the sides (less than half a pint per pot). I repeated this after 24 hours, but for one pot I gave a bit more in the centre area where the seed was - this one that received more water took a few hours extra to make an appearance (and still hasn't fully sprouted). The pots have been constantly moist, but not really wet. With all the tales of litres of water at a time I was expecting them to need more, but maybe that's when they get bigger and need more.

im about to harvest my afgan kush ryder, and some ak47, it 100% all trecks, and they are all cloudy, just waiting on them to turn amber.

How do you guys manage watering when starting seedlings in such big pots? Just light waterings until they get bigger?

I moisten the soil before it goes into the potter, that way the moisture is even throughout the whole potter. That is enough for the seed to germinate and sprout in. After that just check your soil, if it need watered, then water until a few drops come out of the bottom, then you should be good for another week, give or take a day or two. Temperature and air flow are a factor there.

i just received my order of autoflower seeds from nirvana. Jock horror/bubblicious/blue mystic autoflower, feminized seeds. i have read you should just pop them straight into soil and germ like that. but, i would really prefer to germ normally in a germ kit as they germ much quicker. is there any reason i should not?

I'm growing 10 auto ak's. They are at day 44 and the smell from the grow room is almost totally gone. At day 30 the odor was overpowering. Is this good or bad? Also, will autos finish faster with CO2 enrichment? I've been at around 1200ppm through the whole grow. Thanks

Man you need to start a journal.....for real!

That's very interesting about the smell. Ive just started some auto ak47's. Intrigued to hear if others have had the smell decrease after a peak around the 30 day period.

not really u can do either...IMHO, i used the germ kits, paper towel/baggie, jiffy pellets, ect, ect and these all work < BUT, I would start them directly in soil & in the final pots, [NO TRANSPLANTING] 2gal min. reason why I say to start them directly in soil is because u run the risk of stunting/shocking them...the less human interaction in the seedling stage, the better for the plants health overall in the long run....hope this helps...NOW GET THAT JOURNAL UP & RUNNIN....that way you can get ques. answerd and any help u may need...peace

My plants had a more pervasive odor when they were a bit younger as well, but they still stink the same if I mess with the plant. Just before you could smell it with out touching them. Its interesting, but Im not worried about it because like I said it still stinks if I mess with it. I just cant smell it from 20 feet away anymore.

Here are a few pics of my tallest ak. She is 60cm. The other nine are between 35cm and 55cm tall. The picture quality isn't the greatest, sorry.
