Autoflower Thread & Resource Guide

:joint:First time autoflowering grower i bought 10 different kinds one seed of each,ive never grown these or indoors,any help or info on any of these kinds would be greatly appreciated,i ordered 1snowryder"1lowboldt"1sweetdwarf"1automatic"1auto-blueberry"1dieselryder"1mi5"1 60 day wonder"1fruitautomatic" all autoflowering plants.And i bought 1xak-48 and one BIGBANG which are regular flowering,any help on any of these would be very helpfull,thanks!bongsmilieAlso whats the difference between ak47 and ak48?

hey guys. I got some auto northern lights seedlings and am wondering when is a good time to move them into their final grow pots, ive got 3 gallon pots im going to use(if those are to big Ive got 3Liter pots also) The seedlings are in root riot cubes and popped up about 3 days ago and have been uder T-5 fluo since then 24/7. They are looking good and have the 1st tiny set of leaves, i mean theyre real tiny afterall theyre 3 day old seedlings! I plan on using Fox Farm OF as my soil and know that its got nutes in it so i wont be adding any for 2-3 wks etc. I also have a soil that doesnt have that much nutes in it but has some lime perilite etc. But my main ? is how do I know when to move um. Its my 1st grow and i dont want to stress them or anything. Also I can just put the root riot cube into the soil when i do move them right??
 
With autos from what i read it is best to start them in what ever pot you will be finishing in. since you already put them in the riot cubes I would transplant now only because i "hear" that you dont want to stop the tap roots growth in an auto it stunts growth. Dont know this for sure just what i hear i have only grown 2 autos so far and not harvesting till monday and my second batch wont be harvested for 7 more weeks. so after that i can tell u cuz my first ones started in party cups ;) gl and happy growing
 
how much does a short rider average if grown in good conditions and how fast do they start to flower i just started to germinate 5 of those puppies today

This is definitely true, I did it to my autos. They are a month old and only about 1 1/2 inches tall and about 3 inches wide. DONT TRANSPLANT!

so far all my Fem SR's have shown sex at around day 27 or 28 from seed and I harvested at around 70 to 75 days from seed.

Right under an ounce or so could be expected although I have one outdoors at the moment that looks a little more

airy than my other did so it may not make as much. I dont think the SR's are very stable at this point because they have all smelled

and looked totally different and grown different when planted at the same time and same conditions. Not downing them by far though

they will produce some nice bud at a fast pace.
 
This is a little off topic, but does anyone know how to delete old pics from my stuff? It's getting too confusing when I upload new ones...:wall:
 
I started my auto ak-47's in 5 litre pots, then when I saw how extreme the growth was I transferred them to 10 litre pots after about 2 weeks. Didnt notice any slowing of the growth or other problems through transplanting.
 
I know there are a few very knowledgeable people that visit here I NEED HELP BAD!!! If anyone knows ANYTHING about hydro, please stop by my thread...

The Big Question- I am setting up my first bubbleponics system and I have everything all ready...except I can't get any of my airstones to work! I have one older one and 3 new ones, and not one makes any bubbles! I have an 18 gallon rez, and the pump I have is rated up to 30 gallons, but is it possible I need a bigger pump? Also, I am using tubing from an oxygen machine that has the little ridges inside, could that make a difference. Please help, I am at a total loss here.

Back on track...One of my auto assassins showed her sex today...yup, I said "her". I think there's a male too though, Idk, I've never had a male plant before...I used clones on my last two grows. It would be a small cluster of balls where the hairs are supposed to be, right?

Doinit, you finally decided whats wrong with your plants huh? Rough transplant? Your new pics should go to the bottom of your pic thing. And yeah males look like you said, if you let them get that far. You can tell cus they have a calax that doesnt have a white hair.

I think transplanting must have been what did it, cuz the other strains I have are doin great.
Only two of my autos have shown sex so far...as soon as I noticed the boy I moved him outdoors. The little girl is soooo funny, she is only a little over an inch tall with 3 full nodes and she has two hairs LOL guess I learned my lesson about transplanting this strain, I'll probably be lucky to get a bowl or two off her :cry:
Now I have some new questions...

If I let the little boy grow out there, will the seeds be any good, or will they all be male?

If I let him pollinate one of my females, are the chances higher for female seeds?

I know nothing about pollination, as I said, I've always worked with clones, so any tips or hints would be helpful. I'm going to do some research right now!bongsmilie
 
Umm, it takes males and females normally to make seeds. So you would get some pollen from the male and pollinate your female. But dont mix autos and reg plants. You only have one little auto fem to pollinate. I would kill both of them personally. Or maybe pollinate your tiny fem with him. And hope its not genetic that shes small. The few dozen seeds you can get from her are worth more then a bowl or two

Thanks for the quick response, that rocks! I didn't wanna mix autos and regs, that's y I pulled him when I found him, so that he wouldn't pollinate my skunks, widows, or mids. I was thinking the same thing, pollinating her with him to get seeds instead of an insulting amount of smoke lol. It could be a genetic flaw; these are a very new strain....I guess I'll just hope I screwed em up LOL.
 
Nice newbud, was wondering how that girl was doing. Almost done it looks like. But didnt get too big eh? What are her measurements about?
 
When should I adding nutes to my short riders? Theyre 11 days old and starting to show sex at about 1.5-2in tall. What kind of nutes should I use they are in FFOF soil 3 gal pots under a 400w hps.
