K I need help auto flower people. I am already planning next years outdoor grow and I am looking for an auto or 2 that will stay fairly small, yield halfway decent with decent smoke and low odor. I know you guys probably get this question more often than you like but I am autoflower ignorant so any info on strain or outdoor grow advice will be much appreciated and I do plus rep if anyone cares anymore.

I am growing some auto assassins and I can't speak for the smoke because I haven't harvested yet, but they chunk up nice during flowering and they don't have hardly any smell yet. The buds look awesome! I messed them up cuz I transplanted them a little too roughly, so they stayed very little. I have one that is one or two weeks from harvest and she is solid bud from top to bottom. She is only about 4 or so inches tall and I am guessing she will carry over a quarter of wet weight when she is done. I know thats not alot, but I think its pretty impressive for a plant just under 4 inches tall LOL Hope this helps.

Nirvana Fem Short Riders have grown well for me showing sex at around 27 days from seed, the reg short

riders not so good.

I got around 70grams total off of 3 Fem Short Rider girls.

One of them only made about 13 grams and was a very airy plant but the taste was sensationally fruity on that plant.

I had a Fem Auto blue mystic that turned male on me after 34 days from seed, so I have planted another and can only wait.

I also have a Fem Auto Northern Lights in a 10 gallon air pot with a Fox Farm Ocean Forest / Happy Frog /

soil mix and it seems to be loving it and growing like a "weed"

As far as topping Autos.... So far I have noticed that autos seem to start out slow, building roots early maybe, then shoot up and get

size going. I guess you could top if you wanted too but I would leave it be or LST personally. They just dont Veg long enough usually.

There is still work to be done on the Auto breeds to get things right, but who can complain when they auto flower...its just awsome.

My three northern lights auto fem's are growing some wooood, the stem/bark is beefing up everyday. I think there exactly 3 or 3 1/3 weeks old today. No sex as far as I can see so far though. About 8inches tall and short/compact.

The blueberry auto's are doing good, maybe another 2 weeks, approximately 60 days from seed then, starting to see a good amount of golden/orange hairs.

The short ryder males showed sex a few days. Again wound up with 4 out of 9 being female. I killed a runt/mutant leaved plant that was probably female but a waste of soil. The one male I had outside in my herb garden was the 1/4 the size of the indoor short riders, it did get nutes in its 2 1/2 weeks of life. I see pistils on a few of um. Really starting to think the northern lights arent auto flowering. I'll just plant them outside if thats the case.

Ive been aggressive with the nutes so far. Trying to solve my dying while flowering problem.... I cant seem to get them to stay lush or even pretty throughout flowering. Lots of yellowing and dying leaves. Maybe this promix organic soil.


Clones are doing good, just topped. Not sure what il be doing with um quite yet.

the cobra and autostoned are a bitch to germ takes like 14 days

im growin just one at the moment LaDiva in 7 litre pot just transplanted yesterday
in soil and seedling mix

My opinion: 7 different, seperate, nutrients is wasted on autoflowers. Autos have a short life span and are somewhat nute sensitive. I use FFOF and usually dont' get a chance to use veg nutes before they start flowering. I'm not saying there is no benefit from using veg nutes for an auto, I don't because the plants do fine in FFOF during their veg stage. Your mileage may vary. I might start introducing veg nutes into my grows early on myself.

Autos are easier to grow. Just use some good soil and some flowering nutes after the 3rd week. I only add nutes about 4 or 5 times during a lifecycle.

Hey SoA,.... Att's doesn't carry it, or not yet but I did see it on everybodydoesit.com. They seem to be a little pricier. I haven't found any regulars though I think if I emailed Buddha seeds they would direct me somehow.
GodsCreat0r.... Don't know about the fertilizers in your list except I would stay away from the fish, it'll stink your house after every watering, the sure bet is the black stripe molasses every other watering. But that's my two cents worth.

Ive been reading every 5 pages of this thread and didn't see anything about topping AFs. I know it will have been talked about but I don't wanna read 95 pages to find out.

So what does everyone think of topping AFs, worth it? When to do it? and which node to do it to?

I have grown only 2 types of autos joint doctors purple jem and dna 60 day wonder

Very low order
Purple ( had three seeds one turned male 2 female and only one of them purple
got 34gs off two plants but i was impatient and harvested at 56 days was out of smoke
smelled like grape fruite and tasted VERY fruity strong heavy like high but it didnt last long again i harvested it early

60DW
has a stronger odor already and im only about a month in
fem seeds 100% turned female
so far they are looking like they will yeild alot more but i started them in bigger pots and didnt transplant the PJs for like the first 3 weeks of their life they were in party cups these i started in #2 pots look like about a gallon to me but cant speak on the smoke havent harvested hope this helps

Do you have gnats? I have a similar problem with dropping/frying leaves during flowering I cant figure out really

Yupp. Lots of those little shits. Not hundreds, but seeing a half dozen a day ensures that I have a few dozen. My plants dont show any sign of nute burn, my ph is spot on 6.0-7.0 with every plant. The light is at the right distance. IDK... Annoying.

Had a quick question about CFLs and since I check this thread constantly figured this would be the best place to ask. My NL autos are starting to get pretty big and I would like to supplement the T5 I have with a CFL or two. I am going to head to Lowes or Home Depot later today to pick up a 150-250 watt CFL (not equivalent), my question is can I just plug this sucker into a normal lamp or do I need something more to use em?

Guys, just an outdoor Big Devil AF question someone might want to answer.. Should i clear out big leaves to free up the buds? They are in day 50. I am asking 'cause i read about mould in a Big Devil. Help app.

The big leaves on my ak's started turning yellow, and a couple did actually fall off. I decided to remove all of the lower original leaves, but leave on all of the fan leaves. This seems to have had no ill effects and the buds are still growing and fattening.
