You can get a carbon filter for $75 and there are ways to make one for less. Google DYI Carbon Filter and I bet you can make one for $20-25. Also check the DYI forum here.

You really need a carbon filter if you dont want that smell creeping away. I saved up for one for my current grow and it works like a dream. My last grow i didnt have one and my house stunk and i was so stressed about the smell its really not worth growing without one if you need to be stealthy. Yeah you can make your own carbon filter. But i got a rhino filter for like $60 and got a 4" inline fan to pull air through it. Its an essential peice of kit dont underestimate it.

northern lights is a relatively low odor plant. i've grown several of the autos and about 8 out of 10 are really low odor. every once in a while you will get one
that can smell to the high heavens. GL

Get a piece of pipe and put panti hose over both ends but fill it completely with carbon you find in the aquarium section at Walmart

Its not worth the risk you have to get a fan to connect the filter to. Read up abit on passive intake and negative pressure. make sure you get a good brand filter like Rhino. Rhino filter can last up to two years. look at some combos on ebay for fan/filter. make sure its rhino. Ona blocks are good but not 100%. Listen mate I was in same position as you like eager to start growing but you will be stressed through out whole grow about getting caught. save abit and get a filter, if you gonna do it then do it properly. stay safe !
