Autoflowers showing sex at third set of true leaves?

Is it odd for autoflowers to show sex so early? I have had my lowgirl in rockwool for a total of three weeks, im just starting to show the third set of fan leaves and I already see white pistils.

That seems about right. Both auto runs I did showed sex between 2-3 weeks.

Oh wait I just noticed you're doing low girl? That's cool, low girl was the first auto I did a few months ago. Only ever saw one or two other people grow it. It's a pretty good strain I think. I didn't yield much, but it was pretty potent, very piney. I grew it outdoors, but I didn't have it in the best of spots and only gave me about 1/8. More light the better. Go easy on the nutes too, it doesn't need much. Yeah she showed sex in the 3rd week I think.

Here's the link to my smoke report if you're interested.

Yeah, I planted a lowgirl, a roadrunner and a haze, all autos, for my first hydro grow.
The roadrunner and haze were planted about 4-5 days after the lowgirl and they are all around the same size. The lowgirl is the shortest, but we're only talking a few centimeters, yet she has the most developed root system. She's only got 3 sets of leaves beyond the two starter leaves which have just now turned yellow.
I woke up this morning and the center of where her third set of leaves are forming look like white pistils.

1/8th out of a plant???

keep trying...

i don't do autoflowering seeds...

but if you get less than 20 grams per plant your doing something wrong.

1/8 of dank is worth about 50-60 bucks....

a grow costs ~100 bucks.....

or is my math wrong???

Yeah I know the numbers don't add up. I only paid like $10 bucks for the seed and another $5 maybe for the soil, so I came out a little ahead not counting my time. I didn't really have it in the best spot, it was basically in the middle of the woods. There was a narrow opening in the tree line where I thought the sun would pass, but it only did for about 2-3 hrs a day, so it was mostly indirect sunlight. Wasn't too worried about it though it was pretty much just an auto experiment. Figured anything I got out of it would just be a bonus. Seems like 20g is about average for autos.

Have another round of autos going that are doing much better. Plus my 7' girls that have been out since may.

16-50 grams is what is usual for autoflowers supposedly, at least from everything I have read.
as far as prices go, hydroponics setup only cost about 30 dollars, another 20 for nutes+incidentals.

For what I paid for the seeds im contemplating forcing them to herm/pollinate and just waiting till next round for harvesting. Anyone have lock breeding autoflowers?

autoflowering seeds are usually feminized too...

so if they're all female you can't breed....

i didn't mean to knock on you guys... but just sayin... if you're plant's only giving you 4 g's, you're MOST DEF. doing something wrong... autoflower or not....

You can quite easily force an autoflower to go hermi and pollinate itself or other plants around it.
Just screw with the lighting a few times, cover it with a papercup or a box.

There seems to be a common factor with most all autoflowers from what i've researched, if you cause them stress around weeks 3-4 right before they flower, you will greatly increase the chances of hermi

I have 3 that are 4'weeksmold and one I yanked tonight. It was male. And I think the other two are damn males as well. So these definitely weren't feminzed. I had also read that autoflowers seeds were feminized too. Not in this case tho.

Guys before you buy the seed look to see what the strain is made up off, the more Ruderalis the quicker, the smaller , ..even the more stranger she will behave, I been growing Short Stuff seeds between photos for years, even for a winter crop with great success,
I now like to FIM once they show sex unlike with photos that I do on the 4th lateral
