Hi all, can anyone recommend a plug and play automation system with remote capability ? I only grow 1-2 plants at a time but at some point would like to beable to adjust and monitor the environment "lights, timing, temp, watering etc".

You can get a master controller, which would monitor and control your lights, timing, temps, humidity and possibly co2 depending on the controller. I wouldn't be concerned with automatic watering with only 1-2 plants. If you must have automatic watering you can run a drip line on a timer or get something like the blue mats.

in a hydro it is easy to automate watering, flood and drain, or dwc or drip systems are hands free. Light movers are not that important, you are going to have to at least change out the water and ferts so you can adjust lights. But if you are willing to pay a sum for a small fully automated grow, then there is this product that is launching soon
LOL I am waiting for the pricing to be announced to LMAO

Out of morbid curiosity, why do you need to adjust things remotely? Setting up a remote webcam would likely far easier and cheaper to set up. Would monitoring it not be sufficient?

I mean, the likelihood of any problem arising that can be fixed remotely is slim imo. Maybe setting up a PH monitor with a dosimeter hooked up to it would be nice, but certainly not necessary I would think.

Sine environment is key I just thought it would be nice to monitor while going about daily life. The standard way of hobbyist growing is analog "dialing in temps humidity etc.". Something simple to check on temps/humidity levels with allowing to increase/decrease exhaust fans, maybe have a on/off function to water for us who hand water. The coin for some of these systems is off the chain though.

Simple cheap humidity and temp control units can be had on ebay for around 15 a piece. hook them up to you fans etc to have it control them for you throughout the day. watering could be a bit trickier but probably doable.
