I heard about these awhile back, and thought nothing of them.... well just so happens a customer comes in 2 hrs latter and said hes has been running autopots for over a year now and said they were a "EPIC" to the grow market... and problem free ????? Someone please tell me how good these auto pots are the real deal I trust the board more then I trust 1 of 100 growers in the business...

Never tried it,ebb n flow w/o a pump. A crafty guy could probably set up a toilet fill valve, buckets and a tray for 1/5 the cost. Cleanlight sells a germicidal UVC lamp for plants at +$300,got parts and built mine for $40 interweb.

hi there my friend swim is running a kind of autopot atm, its a 1m x 1m tray filled with 2 liter pop bottles and uses perlite for a 3" and topped up with coco, the res tray is filled to 2" - 2.5" and wicks water up just like a giant autopot, i designed it round the autopot and hempy method. i never water from the top ever and i dont run any airstones in but roots have lots of access to nutrients and coco really wicks it up, im very happy chappy, dont waste big bucks on them unless you got plenty dosh, you can make auto pots in many ways and sizes yourself a lot cheaper mate ,imo of course

i found their premise very very forgiving and fool proof and ive watched a few good grows with the legit pots but they do cost a bit and i made similar for a 5th of the price! cant hurt with a bit sale or return though:wink:

I've grown with Autopots for about 12 years. I will never switch. They just make the grow process so worry-free, once you plant you only need to keep the reservoir full.

There are some tricks though. Especially if you grow in soil. They tend to keep the soil too wet unless you add lots of extra perlite and add rocks or hydroton to the bottom inch of the pot. I have also modified the pots by drilling holes all over them to increase airflow and let the soil dry faster.

nice work ! i love a good mod, when you can take a very good, marketed ,worldwide product and make it work better for your personal needs ,well that is inovation at its best, very nice idea!

Here is a pic of the mod, including the addition of a 10 gallon grow bag on top to increase the pot size. The plant in the picture was over 6 feet tall when it was full size.
