I don't know. I believe they were a UK before US made them. Maybe since Mephisto was based in Spain early on the early Mephisto users used the UK grow styles. Lots of Autopots in Mephisto section alone and others in the general journal section. Just a guess on my part.
 
Would you guys say the growth rate is similar to DWC? Also, would you say that the overall maintenace throughout the grow is easier/harder than DWC? Sorry guys just wanted to educate myself on these from people who use them, especially people that have tried both dwc and the autopots. :) Thanks in advance guys!

Not even close to any true hydro as far as performance.

I've had better results with anything else I've tried. NFT, flood and drain, daily watering dtw coco.

They are a great invention for silence and convenience provided you upgrade the tubing.
 
I've done DWC. Ebb and Grow and Autopots. As far as ease, Autopots wins hands down. Like Frank Nitty said run the bigger tubing. I usually yield 1.5 gpw with a 1 month veg and Autopots

what maintenance do you perform? I really don't do anything. I spray them out after a run. I usually just pull the old plant out and stick a clone in and keep going.
 
Coming from rdwc how good is these autopots? i'm really looking into the ease and silence of these autopots.... i'm ready to drop rdwc for these because of the extra parts i got going with rdwc... pumps, chiller so on... only thing stopping is the yields but i do see guys pulling good numbers tho! what medium you guys using? what size system? xl with smart pots?
