Autos and bud rot

I have been growing indoors for years and never got bud rot. I did my 1st auto, a freebie fruit seed from the tude. I figured I was gonna chop her tonight and wanted to see if 24 hrs of dark would help. I just went to chop and the top of the bud is filled with rot. Did it go to long? Any ideas why this happened?

You didn't tell us how long you grew it for.. Or give us any information about your grow setup.

The reason you got bud rot is definitely not because it was an auto flower. It might be that the particular strain that you grew was susceptible to mould.

What was your RH throughout flowering?

nasty maybe ur RH got too high or something? I think budrot likes cold and damp air so maybe it got too cold at night time?

rh isn't the issue. I grew this for 60 days in my veg chamber under a 250 watt hps. Not cold and damp or anything like that. I have a pretty good set up for my girls and like I said I have had no budrot ever and I have been growing for years. If anything in my set up was causing this I would imagine my photo plants would have bud rot too.
