the reason I say go on the internet is because. it prevents you from talking to people and occupies your mind until you come down. I know when I had a bad trip, I thought someone I was talking to was talking shit. though the lips didn't match what they were saying. I thought someone told me they were gonna stomp my head against the ground.

He meant normally if you're tripping so hard to have a bad trip,you can't keep the letters still long enought to actuallyh read the words...and I gotta say if you thought you were dead and a spirit,the van coming to get you shouldn't have matterd..in logical reason of course..you were trippin so it was probably scary..there are no bad trips,just ones you are not prepared for..

You misunderstand. As Rory said, in my opinion, if you can read then the dose should be manageable, if you have taken so much you can't read, well, that's another story isn't it, and sort of precludes the internet as much of a diversion.

Yea I've allways laughed when people ask what do you like to do when you trip,and the dead give away of a rookie is 'read a book..'
No no theres nothing to it and it works everytime no matter what the situation was. For me, it was essentially just getting a grip on the situation and stating the facts so I could reassure myself that this is what I asked for when I took it.
This other trick that works AMAZING and I recommend it to ANYBODY who's on the verge of freaking out. Go into the bathroom, stare into the mirror and recite The Lord's Prayer backwards, over and over again.
Whatever was bothering them wont matter after that

I just sing to myself like a nut and rock back and forth in a ball. That helps me. If I'm alone anyways, if I'm with friends I just don't speak, they ask whats wrong, nothing I say. Simple as that. No need to spin my bad trip off into other people as well.

I've never been in a field,in a tent,with bad weather..(lol)...and I still say..there is no such thing as a bad trip..I'm not trying to be ambivalent,really..but grow a pair guys...freak out once and be done with that..the focus on the freakout shit takes focus away from the good things...and religion or anything related will allways confuse,shatter and of course in the end,embarrass the tripper..my opinon..not open for debate..ill state in now..religion and psychedelics are like water and oil..they don't,will never,and should never mix...please don't troll this statement for I don't argue or associate with humans who haven't evolved.

Kinda of a hard thing to answer as everyone is different. I always liked to think I just had a strong willpower. If I felt my mood slip I usually focused on something logical or a rational task. Similar to the shoe tie thing mentioned, but not necessarily that task. I guess the idea is to ground yourself into something real and present and not wandering mentally to that weird place. But as has been mentioned if you trip hard enough, it's not really gonna matter much.
It really is all in your head and you are the one in control. I have observed that simpler minds don't usually do well. If you have dumb friends don't give em hallucinogens.

16 grams dry...then 8 hits of oldschool fluff about 5 or 6 hours later...I did drink a big gulp full of tea at the whee 3 fest in ohio years ago..wasn't too strong but it did have me spinning in a circle for 20 mins...

The mushroom acid combo was fun..I ate a lot of shrooms and a moderate amout of lsd,and my buddy ate alot of lsd and a moderate amount of mushrooms(7grms)...at one point I was in a sphere of tristing patterns..I was ok tho..I couldn't see my buddy,but I knew he was there,and told him I couldn't see him through concave patterns..we were playing mario cart..old fun times...
