recently began reading her works, finished Atlas Shrugged last month and began reading The Fountainhead this week. i know i started reading her novels because i wanted to understand why she has the following she does. Is it just me or do they read like they were written by a mentally unstable individual? the main characters tend to have the characteristics of sociopaths, and i feel like they are just projections of her self and ideal being. i can't be the only one who thinks this, and i noticed most devout fans/libertarians who follow her belief system to be lacking in empathy like sociopaths tend to.

She was very angry with the communists. They stole her fathers wealth and destroyed her family.

I watched a documentary on her. She has a very skewed but somewhat acceptable answer.

She didn't believe in Government Welfare only charity.

She believed that an individual must be able to choose whether or not to be charitable not forced by the state to be.

Social Decay was the result of government welfare. Which bothers me because I have been liberal my whole life, but I can see things from her level.

Alan Greenspan laid the wood to her.

People feel entitlement rather than grateful. (Welfare vs Charity)
And ironically ended up on on the same welfare programs she rallied against.

She wasn't a sociopath; she was just a child when the Bolsheviks took power. They took her father's business and displaced her and her family. She jumped to the opposite end of the spectrum in her ideals as a response. This is her philosophy, it may help too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Objectivism_(Ayn_Rand)

Considering the likes of Alan Greenspan who was an unwanted groupie, her ideas were intentionally misinterpreted and highly abused to push a GREED agenda by scum who have brought the world to the brink of financial collapse. It is they who have done everything in their power to keep free technology from public access. It is they who, by any means necessary, destroy those who bring it
