After a LONG five years of living in rental properties with no place to grow, we bought a place and now I'm able to grow my favorite plant. I have 6 autoflowers and 6 regular, full-season plants well along. The autos are about a month from the chop and have little pinky nail sized budsites and are from 19" to 22" tall. Half of them are in 5 gal. grow bags; these things are the bomb. I have 4 directly in the ground (non-autos), and two in large planters stashed in a sunny spot away from the house. You'll have to really look to find the one in the bottom pic.
I've been relying on vape cartridges for the past 5 years with a little flower here and there.
I started these under LED lights in a closet since it was cold and very rainy when they started. One plant is Black Skull Seeds AUTO Gelato. I planted 4 and only one survived; this is the hardest to grow strain I've ever done, and the "survivor" is a month old and only 5" tall. I'll see if I can smoke the entire cola in one bowl. I planted 3 Auto Seeds Sucker Punch and these are super easy to grow and crazy vigorous. You can smell the little buds from over 10' away. If the quality is as described, this will be my new favorite. I have one Barneys Farm Seeds AUTO Glue Gelato that was a freebie from The Attitude and it's doing great too. Another freebie, Freedom of Seeds Dieselicious, is a full-season feminized plant. I topped all my full-season plants above the 4th node to get 4 colas. The rest of the plants are Hawaiian Skunk Haze, a very small full-season plant.
I'm keeping a grow journal / calendar with what I do and when I do it. The soil is about 1/2 Black Kow with some top soil and compost and enough sphagnum moss to make it friable. I know not to ever stress autos or they will stop growing dead in their tracks, so I was super careful with these. I upcanned them from the pint sized container and gave the soil a nice slug of mycorrhiza. I've been also feeding them with fish ...stuff (not the stinky emulsion) and kelp, with some molasses and blood meal and Epsom salt. ...and a little phosphate.
The autos will be ready between July 15 and July 25 (60 days, and 70 days), so we'll see how long they go. My goal is to let them go as long as possible and when the trichs are nice and golden then I'm going to "girdle" the plants, move them to a 24/7 dark room for two days, then harvest the bud; that's the plan anyhow.
