backyard grow, will neighbors smell this?

My neighbors are growing and I can smell it.I'm growing lowryder 2 for first time.

What are you talking about?
A box of mothballs won't do shit for the smell. A large plant that's a pound or so will stink!
On top of that you have no clue how close he is to his neighbors.

1/2 lb. would be enough, personally. Interested in yielding enough for personal only, and that amount is way less than it used to be, lol. Not selling and not concerned with big yield or copious giveaways. Don't need (or want) a tree, as fun as that would be. Seems like a couple short ones would do the trick. The odor is the only issue.

Not worried about a faint detectable odor every now and then...when wind blows...etc. That could be coming from anywhere on the block. Just don't want strong, can't-miss-it-within-50-feet, immediate mouth watering ganja odor.

The veg indoors /set out in Sept. is an intriguing idea. Veg indoors is very feasible under floros. Just done with the 400W HPS...too indiscreet with all the heat and crap that goes along with it.

if u r only doing a few plants i would worry there are plenty of other smells outside, especially if u have other plant. dont let the law stop you!

somebody asked the thread starter if the neighbotrs like you? thats a good question....if u can say yeah to that.cool. also make sure ur growing a few other things so if ne one sees you gardening you wil have played their six string botanical heart guitar......ahhhhwtf just grow other trhigs too.....yes lst and do whatev to keep them low.....and what he said about a few plants for personal aint gonna smell that bad......i got a neighbor with a yard full of cat shit on my left and dog shit neighbors on my right....fuck the mothballs........my yard already smells dank......

If a plant starts putting off more odor than expected once it hits flowering stage, will it shock the plant to thin out a few branches (yes...including flowers) in order to reduce the odor? Obviously pruning fan leaves doesn't hurt the plant, but would cutting an entire branch hurt it or slow growth for the rest of the plant?

Ironic that someone's actually on this site asking about legit ways to reduce yield, lol. But as said, it's either control the odor or nothing. Better to have a modest harvest than none at all, imo.

I know this is older but people still come to read these.I just grew a plant outdoors every now and then I would go damn that smells good.I wouldnt worry about it unless people will be walking down where you have it at.I have houses behind me up a hill but I can see them the asshole just moved in the last family never was out there plus they have kids lol im pissed id like to kill that sob im gonna grow anyways and if he fucks with my plants lol he will have lots of automobile troubles.Its just cannabis not a meth lab go for it.As for the smell I never smelled it very fa away a few times I think I got a wiff in my driveway but nobody else said a word.Burn fires during budding time I did i kept having fires lol,oh and also i think im doing autos you dont have to worry about it long and you can harvest twice. i have a great hiway spot i know it because its in my backyard of my pld house nobody goes down there its wide open man it perfect but getting to it sucks i dont wanna be lurkin with clones and dirt like hey cop,i think my best bet is my own damn yard like i didnt plant that hmmm must have grown wil i have heard of ditch weed

Build a small greenhouse or hoop house in your back yard and put a lock on the door.
