Bacon Shortage

I'm not worried one bit about food shortages in the US. I think inflation worries are overblown too. There are a lot of places in the world that don't have much capital and don't grow enough food to feed themselves. So, yeah, you are comfortable and that's keen and peachy but you were never looking at missing any meals ever were you? Sudanese tell a different story. So, I really hope your lawnmower or my cooktop don't take priority over deliveries of essential supplies wherever they are needed. Recent history says it will.
We have the inflation thing here but wages will adjust like they always do (except sale price of housing- that runs away). Plus people have been spendign a chit load of money over Covid on "stuff". Stuff they will probably sell at less than what they paid for it. No I'm not looking at missing a meal, have done when i was younger with no fixed address. Yep, lots of countries like Sudan where life is a real struggle. I dont think a mower from the US to Aus would be taking space of any essential supplies its just annoying as European stuff like Husqy and Stihl sorted their supply issues out over 6 months ago, Honda America seems to be struggling.

The cost of food items here seem to be going through the roof. I assime people earning a minimum wage are missing out on nutritious meals here, more so then before. The supply chains will affect those people as well, if there are no materials available then there are no people needed to sell/install them. The covid money helped but those programs are mostly gone here now.

All the elements for a potential crash and boom?

It’s always been more expensive to eat healthy, I’ve found, but yeah, prices are getting up there and I’m sure it’s difficult for some families. I always get a bag for food banks these days whenever I go to the grocery store.

The supply challenges will work themselves out. The good news about supply chain problems is it means people are buying stuff, a sign that the economy is rebounding.

Yes the economy is booming in some industries …… but those same industries are now getting slammed due to supply shortages. Here are some links that are quite worrisome
Gas prices up 34% in the last year. Propane up 300%. Good time to think about a heat pump ;).

Heat pumps are not efficient once you get real cold. Kind of sucks.

i guess it's conditioning, but english bacon looks tastless and dry to me...
there was an old man who lived across the alley from us when i was a kid, named Hedvig...he drank a pint of cheap ass bourbon a day, smoked 2 or 3 cheap ass cigars every day, and bought salt pork and sliced it and ate that for breakfast, because bacon was too lean...fucker lived to be 97, and active right up to the end....so maybe some of these preconceived notions about whats good for us are just that, notions...
English bacon is ham.
My fav..Harris Ranch Beef Bacon
And yes I'm an expert
30 year butcher

Before papa John came out as a flaming racist I had already quit then due to that. It just pissed me off.

i'm so glad someone remembers that because i would pick up a pie Friday nights around the corner- every time i would mention that the gas prices went down how come there's still surcharge 'this is why i no longer get delivery and as long as i'm here i might as well just go to Publix and save the money'. It was a Sal's Ristorante in Florida.
