Bad Weather.

New grower looking for advice. This has been my forecast for the last 2 weeks and it doesn’t seem to be changing should I just harvest my plants prematurely. The buds don’t seem to be getting any bigger, they have gotten hardly any sunlight in the last 2 weeks.

First...plants still go through photosynthesis when it's cloudy...However cooler temps will slow things down.

I wouldn't cut until you have to. It's part of growing outdoors...
Also for next season get a earlier strain. 7-8 week
Sometimes that doesn't work....
I'm two weeks out on my 8 week finishers, getting rained on.
But I'm having an unusually early rainstorm.

Better go shake 'em...

Well that's a little better than my weather. If you can cover them somehow. To let them finish and mature out.IMG_20180930_084921.jpgIMG_20180930_085055.jpg IMG_20180930_085013.jpg IMG_20180930_090600.jpgI do what I can with what I got to keep my girls dry till the finish line, in a couple rainy weeks of PNW weather.

I'd be more than happy if that was my weather forecast, quit being a wuss.

Try having a hurricane pass you by and dropping 30+ inches of rain on you in mid flower like we got at the end of august....I didnt panic chop, although it wouldn't have done me any good because my drying room was flooded with 18" of water lol. Lost some flowers to rot but was still able to harvest a couple weeks ago in september.

Mine grew taller than I expected here in BC, Canada. I had to rip the plastic down and build a small wooden frame about 30" wider than the original frame so I could take off the pvc tubes and add extenstions on each side. The tent is now about 13' tall with some of the cola's almost touching it. It's keeping them nice and dry though but our temps have been getting close to 0 celcius or almost 30 degree fahrenheit at night. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the second half of October warms up a bit. When the sunshine hits that greenhouse it's nice and toasty at cola height. I also added a bag of manure around the base of each plant and threw some leftover alfalfa straw on top to keep the roots a bit warmer.IMG_3564.JPG

Well I took everyone’s advice and let them go longer. Last night things took a turn for the worse and we got about 3/4 inch of heavy wet snow which broke about 50% of my branches. So I guess it’s harvest time for the majority of what I have going. Super discouraged right now, Mother Nature is a real bitch sometimes.
