bag seed, sativa, no trichomes, week 7 flower. whats going on?

So this girl is the tallest of my batch.(around 6 feet) The buds are plentiful and plump, but there are virtiually zero trichomes. -.- Just a ton of white pistils . I am growing others in the same environment; a mix of different strains (10 Plants total) because i used a mix of bag seeds. it is kind of chaotic because they're all maturing differently and at different rates. Next time I will buy the seeds online, one or two strains at a time.
Anyway, point is, I dont know anything about the strain other than shes definitely a sativa. Is there anything I can do at this point to increase trichome production ? is she lagging in production because she's bigger and using more energy ? Is it possible that because its a sativa its naturally apt to take longer to produce ? Am i even doing anything wrong other than being impatient? I have been flowering since june 16th (2016) . Kind of embarrassing but feedback would be appreciated! im a newb. Also, should I invest in a bloom booster?
ive run into some people oppose them completely and some that highly recommend.

Ive took some pictures.. one using flash, 2 without. Different colas, same plant

Just stop feeding and wait. What light are you using and how far away is it? What are you feeding your plants?

sativas can take a bit longer to frost up compared to shorter flowering indicas.
i've also read on here by a few members that too much nitrogen in flowering can reduce thc..
you could also try and add some uv light in the mix as uv light is known to increase thc %..

if you'd like, check out a thread on here by our member rm3, i think it's called lighting, i got a question, i'll look for it.. and there's another thread that has a lot of good info that i'll try and find and post a link for both.. brb..

Ok, from what I can see you are correct...that plant is very sativa dominant if not 100%. At 7 weeks she is likely about half done...if you had more strain info a lot more could be determined. So, the pistils are very white that shows early bud development. I would continue as is with feedings and waterings. Keep a close eye on the growth and you should start seeing trichome production...you have a magnifier?

Yeah she is prob only half done at 7 weeks. However....you are giving them way to much nitrogen. You got some burn on there for sure. If it's burning the tips that means there is a little root damage. Happy roots=bigger fruits.

yes, there are only a couple of trichomes in the center of the bud. still clear.. but i would think at 7 weeks there would be alot more trichome production.

thank you.
i cant really afford to buy and set up different lighting though. ive given it coconut water diluted with water twice within the span of like 2 weeks and im going to try to adjust the humidty a bit with another fan. i dont know what else i can really do other than wait.

okay so i will wait awhile before i water again.. im using miracle gro .. the kind fthat releases nutrients everytime i water.. and i water like once every 4 days.. i knoww. i know.. i am not supposed to use miracle gro because its hard to control how many nutrients are released but i started this whole experiment before i did enough research and they'd already been flowering for weeks before i discovered that. i dont want to give up on them though ..despite the mistakes i have made...

Nope, some can take 20+ weeks (in flower) to finish. I've got a Dalat goin that was in flower for 5 weeks before it even showed sex.

Pure Sativas also go thru 3 harvest windows (waitin for the 3rd is best)
wow okayl.

Miracle gro can work fine on a long veg when the nutes are mostly used up. I hope your not feeding with anything but water then. Way too much N in miracle gro for a short veg tho and then flowering. That might be the reason your not seeing any trychomes yet. Could just be genetics too.

Right on! Some even stop calyx growth, but continue to produce lots of trichomes for weeks.

I dont want to hijack Zalera's thread but That is interesting, I am still learning tons and haven't heard of this - I searched a bit after I read this but came up dry do you have any direction you can point me to learn more about this? I just put a 30-some year old bag seed that is pretty pure sativa in the flower stage on my first grow.
