more soil in those pots please lol
They were stretching pretty bad before these LED's came in so Im gonna wait till they're done stretching before I repot them with more soil. Need them to get big enough so I can take some cuttings for clones before I sex them. I'm guessing since it's bag seed from good quality SoCal weed they're most likely female seeds from stressed plants.

so there hermi probably, you would have too stress the plants pretty badly to turn them for female seed

you still want to add more soil in them pots, the stems will develop roots and you will have a shorter stockier plant for it, you have a while b4 you can even consider taking cuts, so best start them off as best you can, no need to wait for streach to be over

Thanks, I appreciate the info

This is a Cindy 99 straight 12/12 from seed I did a few years ago. Just getting my feet wet again, if these die that's fine, I have seeds that I breed before I shut down that I hope will germ. They're a cross between a Bros Grimm C99 and Oasis OG. There's a certain pheno I'm looking for if they germ. If my seeds fail then I'll probably order some Jack Herer. I don't even have the flower tent ready yet

I did the same thing with some bag seed a friend gave me. As they grew I filled the cup in more. That's a good looking plant, I'm curious about using a light leak to produce seeds. Care to elaborate? I'm in a position where I have one mother and what I got is what I got type deal. I'd love to mess around with stressing to make seeds. I know the strain I have will do it because it had done it before unintentionally. Last grow I did ended up with 10 seeds 5 worked and I'm growing them now.

During 12/12 a light leak can cause a plant to stress enough to cause it to make seeds. Technically it will be a "hermie" but in the 4 years I grew the only hermie I ever got came from a seed bank (tude freebies)

The female will try to "survive" (keep the strain alive) when it's stressed enough and create seeds. It's not always a light leak but it can be enough to stress a female plant to make seeds in order to try to survive.

You can also sex a plant and put it back under 24/24 to revert it to a veg state, that would create a lot of stress and if you flip it back into 12/12 it will potentially "hermie" and create seeds, but the seeds, at least in my experience and from what I've read, usually tend to be female.

"Female" seeds are not natural in nature, its man made, so there is always the potential that a "fem" seed will hermie.

Just placed an order for the Secret Jardin DS120W, similar to my old DR120W but with some nice upgrades. I will probably end up doing a perpetual grow, eventually I'll select a mother for clones and then toss in some random seedlings. Probably 4-6 plants max in 3 gal pots. I work 40+ hours a week and have a 2 year old, so my plan is to make it easy to maintain.

I'm still shopping around for lighting but I think I've narrowed it down to the HLG 300L Rspec LED and I have 2 150wHPS in storage than I can use for supplemental in the winter when it'll be cold enough to keep the tent a decent temps.

The DS120W is 4 x 2 x 6.

Ive been trying to buy Bros Grimm C99 reg seeds from attitude but they are always out of stock. They arent cheap either, but its a great strain to work with for breeding because a typical C99 takes about 55 days to flower and its sativa dom. If you get a male to breed with then you can look for an F1 with 6-8 week flower and sativa dominant hybrid.

I had 2 F1s from my Oasis OG x C99 seeds go for 14 - 16 weeks, I culled those strains since it wasnt what I was looking for

Quick update, tent was delivered today but won't have time to put it up until the weekend.

The bagseeds are doing ok, not great, but I barely give them any attention at all so I'm surprised they're even still alive.

The yellow tips is from the Fox Farm Ocean Forest being a little too hot for seedlings but I was expecting that. I'm not going to grow any seedlings that can't handle FF Ocean Forest, so this is a good test for these.

My Oasis OG x C99 seeds were grown and breed in this soil so I know they'll be fine if any of those seeds germ

Started some of my Oasis OG x C99 seeds today. Theyre a few years old so hopefully Ill get some seedlings. Ill be happy with a male or female.

The other bagseeds are doing ok. The one I culled is back, tossed it in the bag of soil and didnt die so I gave it a 2nd chance.

I dont care either way. The tent will be specifically for what I am looking for...
