This is a first time grow for me. I found this seed in a bag of mine and started it off under 24 hrs. of light and it is now at 20 hrs. on and 4 hours off. It will be 9 weeks old on wednesday. I have it set up under 5 daylight fluorescent bulbs. As you can see in the pictures i have 2 on each side of it and 1 on top of it. I haven't put any kind of nutrients or anything on it just water it 2 times a week and i mist it with water 2 to 3 times a day. I have a few pix's of it when it was about 3 to 4 weeks old and the rest were taken 2day at 8 week's and 5 days old. I would like any advice that i can get on help growing this beauty!! Let me know what you think of the pix's... :eyesmoke::eyesmoke::bigjoint:

Good job man! Nice plant for a first timer. Just a fyi when using CFLs, especially ontop, have them sideways instead of pointing directly ontop. It will help some. I use cfls for vegging and flower myself, they do pretty well given the amount and wattage.

Also, keep them about 2-2.5" from the top and sides. But looks pretty good man, when you gonna throw it into 12/12?!

yea man looks good. get them bulbs a little closer. and if you do go to flower switch to the "warm" cfls it helps with the flowering process.

get like four more lights like that. Or as many as you can afford up to like what eight more? You will be so happy with the results. That looks great for bagseed by the way. Mine were alright. Yours are fantastic.

Nice job, try and get those cfls closer...they look like they're stretching bit. Don't want the stems to snap when the phat buds start exploding :) Do you have a fan on them?

well guys checked on it this morning it is officially 9 weeks old. But for some reason all the leaves are starting to droop on me and i dont like that. Does any1 have a clue of y this could b happening?!?!?!? NEED HELP!!!!!!

the middle of a cfl bulb is where it gets the most lumens at, take that y splitter and hang it over the top of the plant. the way youve got the one up there vertical now is basically wasting it all.

leaves can droop for several reasons. sometimes a plant will droop over night but recover after an hour or so of light. if it hasn't recovered by then it is probably a water problem - unfortunately both too much and too little water can cause drooping. check the soil.

also, it looks like your pot is a little too small for the plant. the general rule is one gallon of pot for each foot of final size of the plant. your plant will probably double in size while flowering and you want to keep ahead of the growth so your plant doesn't become rootbound.

I watered it a few hours ago and the leaves are coming back up!! I plan on transplanting it this evening into a bigger pot and some organic soil!! I'm also gonna move 1 of thr lights from the side and put it on top. Right now it is on 20 hours light and 4 hours no light. I was wanting to know what the best sequence is to drop it down to 12 and 12. if i should take a hour of light away each day until im at 12 and 12, or if I should cut a hour of light from it each week?!?!?!

there is no real need to be careful about the changeover. i'd guess 90% of people just go straight to 12/12, i do. some people like to give the plant 24 to 48 hours of darkness as this is supposed to help induce flowering. some people like to step the time down in one of the ways you describe. but i haven't seen any evidence to support a complicated change over.

ok thanks! When do you think its best to be on 12 and 12, like by what age of the plant should i be on 12 and 12?

24 or 48hrs dark and having a dark period of over 12 dark hours(like 13/11) do absolutely nothing for your plant. people misunderstand the flowering hormone, it triggers flowering, thats it. once it get to that threshhold you can add all the flowering hormone in the world and it wont make a difference. its an on/off switch, not a setting for how fast flowering goes.
