Baking my babies...

i deal with 95 all summer

95 all summer ?? damn man why dont you do somthing about that?? i dont understand people that continue to grow in places that arent condusive to growing......If your temps are too hot why not fix it instead of saying oh well i grow in 95 and it works....lol took me 5 years to get my mom to put an A/c in your grow room lol ya now she feels silly for not listening 5 years ago...

Okay...here are my pictures as promised. Remember they are taken with a cell phone so I apologize for the poor quality.

The first three are the plants in their new home...if you look at the top of the second picture you can get an idea of what was hung from the ceiling..and the sixth picture shows a good shot of all of the apparatus my husband added to cool down the room. Pictures 4 & 5 are what the babies looked like before we put them in the 'grow area'. I'll update as things progress.

By the way, I can actually see tiny little hairs (pistils?) already in the fourth week and they are at most 9" tall and stinky already. I LOVE MOTHER NATURE :blsmoke:.

your fan is pushing air through the light.....i beleive it to be more efficent if you where PULLING air through the light.......ex. filter>duct>hood>duct>fan>outside i know this as nothing to do with your question just thought id share that with ya....

We checked with this, and the reason he did it was because we are using the 'push' fan to also push air through that big filter you see in the corner. Double duty=less $$, so we don't have 2 fans, 2 outlets etc etc. Just trying to be cost effective in this little space.

Did you cut your plants down or no???if not can you post some pics?

No, I haven't cut them down yet. The tallest one is about 18 inches from soil level. I'm going to let them grow at 12/12 until I get the new seeds from Nirvana started and in gallon pots. For the next grow I will only grow 5 instead of 7 for sure. Way too crowded. If these haven't gotten any blooms on them in another week or so, they are going to friends as houseplants! I've had so many requests from friends to 'give me one if you don't want it' it's almost laughable. What would anyone want with a pretty weed that doesn't DO anything...???? Hope you had a nice holiday!

IM confused...... so your plants arent male....arent female........ what are they?

The autoflower (AF) feminized is a genetically engineered plant that is not only female but does not follow a normal vegetative/flowering cycle. It is supposed to automatically start flowering without any change in lighting time or type. It is usually very short in stature, (less bud) but it takes up less room. Note my 'bushes'...lol. What happened here is a genetic screw up. The flowers are all female (I see the pistils) but it never blooms. I am attempting to force these plants to get on a 'normal' schedule, which you can sometimes do if the genetics are really touchy. These haven't gotten the 'call of the wild' yet and so they are not blooming. I'm going to keep them on this 12/12 schedule for about 3 more weeks. If nothing happens then my husband is going to turn them over to our tomato patch. I won't reuse the soil because I'm pretty sure it's depleted. The compost is great for the garden! (and also very expensive...)

It's heartbreaking if I have to toss these gorgeous plants, but it's a lesson learned. In the meantime, I'm still waiting for my seeds from Nirvana. They sent two separate shipments. The first is not an AF but it is feminized. The second is the lowryder which is the only AF Fem that Nirvana has had any success with. I'm going to try those first as if they aren't productive I'll know pretty quickly.

I'm a 'newbie' and so I'm still learning... Hope this helps.

So...I have no space, but I DO have plenty of brains...I'm a geneticist...or I WAS one before the need for medical marijuana. This is more of a hobby for me, and being a scientist I do like to experiment. There's no need for the judgement on your part. Everyone grows what they want to and I'm just starting. If I want 'real weed' as you put it, I'll walk down to the local dispensary and buy whatever I want. Lighten up, will you?

WOW made you look DUMB as hell just now ROFLMAO

I'll probably just stick to weed.......

wow dude your an asshole what makes you think you can treat people like that....you should be ashamed and one of these days you will be judged on how you treat others...and trust me it will happen..

sorry you feel that way mustangmaddi hopefully you can push threw this asshole and still be apart of our better community like the rest of us who love to see your grow and would love to see your future grows...If not good luck and keep on growing ...

Just a little update... My sexless bushes are still non-producing. I just started 5 AK-48 seeds from Nirvana. They are feminized. They are NOT auto-flower. I germinate by placing the seeds between wet paper towels in a small plastic container with saran wrap over the top. I then put the tray on a warm heating pad in a dark area. Most of the time my seeds start germinating within 24-36 hours. I put these in about 7 last night (Mountain time) so I'll check them on New Year's morning.

Which reminds me.... HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone who has followed this thread. That includes you too, DankShasta. It's good not to hold grudges and to release bad energy and I've done this.

Love and Peace

Well...woke up this morning and ran downstairs to check on my seeds. WOOHOO!!! All 5 popped! I'm putting them in 1 gallon pots of Foxfarm this afternoon. This is going to be my BEST grow ever.

awsome i havent checked to see if my seeds were in the mail yet ive been sick cant wait to see the girls

Sorry you were sick.... I had the flu on New Year's eve and most of the next day. Think of it as getting all the 'bad stuff' out of the way! This is going to be a GREAT YEAR!!!

On a 'weed note' (after all, this is what we are here for mostly) I woke up this morning to three of my five new babies popped out of the dirt already! Hello!!
I just put snack sized bags gently over them to hold moisture in and won't take these off until there are two sets of 'real' leaves on them. It's a necessity to do this where I live because of the extremely low humidity. I shouldn't have to water them until the bags come off. I'm surprised these came up so quickly because it took the AFs 4 days to pop. Just waiting for the other two to make their appearance.

On a more frustrating note, my AFs are still lush and beautiful and growing like...well, like weeds...haha. Still no sign of anything even resembling a bud. Just when it looks like a bud is coming out, it turns into a whole bunch of tiny leaves. Ugh. The worst part will be when I have to move my AK-48s into the grow room and have to move the bushes out into the snow. I decided not to hand these out as I don't want anyone getting arrested. I'm a medical patient and am allowed to grow for personal use legally but none of my friends are. Oh well...

Feel better. I wish you would get your seeds soon. Where did you order from?

I ordered from dopeseeds im pretty sure there in the mail my gf just has to get them from her parents mail box i got everything ready and waiting lol

Okay I can't believe what Santa did this year! I decided to force the AFs that were washouts into a 12/12 cycle. I figured that the genetics on these plants were so weak to begin with that maybe I could remind 'Mother Nature' that these were her babies too, and lo and behold.... I got buds!!! Granted, they are not going to be the gorgeous buds that are shown on 420 magazine, but they are still buds. Hopefully, they will ripen before it's time to move the new babies out of the nursery. I'm thinking they have about a month. I'm going to keep feeding on the Foxfarm schedule and as soon as I see some hairs turning reddish I'll start flushing with water.

Thanks to Santa and also my darling husband who encouraged me to not give up on these. By the way, I did decide to give one of these to a really nice guy who admired them and wistfully said he wished he could grow like I do. Merry Christmas Joe.

Apologies about the poor picture quality. The light spectrum totally messes with the picture, but you get the idea.....
