ok so here it is....

listen carefully can sound confusing but isn't!!!!!!!!!

i have two 600w lights

both are myne, but got a 600w bulb of my mate cos one of myne went. my m8's 600w bulb has a tiny wire wraped around the bulb inside the glass, so i had my light on all day today (the one witout the wire around the bulb) and switched on the other in which i could here the ballast crackleing, (both ballast are quite new an are the same) then it went pop an the light went out!! so i tryed the light in the ballast i'v had on all day an that went snap crackle an pop.

now both lights dont work!!!!

one of the ballast doesnt make any noise at all an the other crackles.

have the bulbs gone?

or has the my m8's bulb blown both ballast??

maybe my m8's bulb wasnt screwed in fully im not sure could this be the problem

Please help!!!!

Do you even know what type of ballast it is? Is it high pressure sodium or is it Metal Halide? IF its a MH there is a ballast, ignitor and capacitor in there any of which could be burned out. If its HPS then its just a ballast and capacitor. Usually it the igniter or capacitor... If you put an HPS bulb in a MH ballast it could casue problem when the ignitor kicked on. Sounds like your kits are bad or you fucked up.

that sounds awful man, I'm really sorry to hear about your luck. Chances are you put in a dual spectrum bulb into a regular bulb ballast, at least that's all I can come up with lol.
