Ballasts

I'm just curious if you guys change your Ballasts automatically like most do with their bulbs?

Change like replace? If so, not until it's dead.

Bulb = less $$
Ballasts = way more $$$

Just bulbs.

I like to have a spare ballast though. I just went thru a ballast failure and it was no fun. Luckily I had two, but had to keep switching it from one tent's lights to another until I got the new one in. I have extra bulbs and an extra ballast now...just in case. I plan to replace my bulbs for each grow, while keeping the old ones as spares.

nope,i have a few digital ballasts that have been running 12/12 for over 6 years non stop and a bunch of others that are about 4 years old now maybe close to 5 already.

Beautiful, Thank you guys! I just remember reading something where a guy couldn't figure out why his yields have been way down and he changed his Ballasts and he said that fixed the issue. So I was curious. Thanks again everyone!
