Banana method----- what the fuck?

right ok, so i thought i'd give it a go, heres what happened.

did as per instructions on here.

They have been in sealed container for a week.

Burped at regular intervals, twice a day.

the seeds are germaniting............... is this normal??????
 
I dont think it matters as long as its airtight. your reffering to the method that "suppossedly" gives the seeds a higher chance to be female right?
 
yes , the gas released by a rotting banan is supposed to push the seed towards being female (excuse the low post I have opened a fresh acc) But I have never seen any info saying the seed will germ

You dont want it to be "airtight" thats how moisture builds and you germ your seeds lol. Thats why people who use that method prefer to use zip's
 
There are people who use containers and have success, just when using those might wanna air them out a bit more. I wonder if putting a little rock salt in with em in a container will help
 
Surley if its not air tight the gass will escape? so whats the point? Im confused too, but Ill levar it as long as I can and plant, see what happens.
 
Dude theres suppose to be a layer between the bannana and seeds yes. Theey shouldnt be sitting in rotten bannana lol

HA! Smart ass, they arnt, I have the skins in a sealed tup with a bottle top lid sat on them with the pips in.............:wall:
 
lol easy sorry if that sounded rude. Erm no they shouldnt be germinating! But remember some seeds just germinate really fast or germinate with lower moisture levels. Thats why some seeds can take like 5-12 hours and some like 24 hours +. Its all in the way the seed is structuredd and stuff. Just plant em normally i dont think the bannanas have that much effect. Unless u eat alot of bannanas then theres no real loss.:weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed:
 
all the seeds i've germinated...i've never heard or seen of this banana method... either there female or there not...start a new bunch... i've had a high female to male ratio germinating my seeds in warm water for 3 days.. :weed:
