Bananas!!!

Picked up a pack of these with my baker creek order this year. Any tips on germinating these things? I started half the pack and kept half in case I fuck up. Soaked the seeds for 24 hours then into soil with a dome. Temp at 80 inside dome and high humidity. Any other tips would be great.View attachment 3367306
Beautiful man! can't help you with germing them. I got some dwarf lemon seeds on the way and the instructs say to soak 24 hours and it could take up to 40 days to germ.

Anyway, I also have a dwarf banana tree but, the nanners are normal yellow. Also considering getting a dwarf 3 in 1 grafted citrus tree. All my stuff is indoor outdoor.

Anyway, thanks for sharing. I didn't know there was a such a thing as pink nanners.

Where did you order the seeds from? I'd also really like one of those 3 n 1 trees. Super neat.

Bought the Lemon tree seeds from ebay and they are coming from Hong Kong. Could come in any day now or up to May. lol. They were .99 with free ship so could be a scam. But, for .99 who cares right.

Anyway, I found these 3 in 1s at the site linked below for $9. They also have lemon trees for around $5. Cheapest site I know of and have bought lots of stuff from them over the years. With no complaints. They aren't the best quality like a Michigan Bulb but for the money they are great.

Can't help you germinate either but when you get them sprouted most Musa love very well drained soil and slightly acidic. The same soil I'd grow bud in I use for these just dig a good hole and dump a few bags in. They did best near my pine trees that nothing else would grow in because of the acidic soil.

Banana seeds are hard to germinate. I did a pack of 10 one time in a coco/perlite mix and 3 germinated after about a month. They sell these "smoke papers" that have hormones or something on them that are supposed to help with hard to germinate seeds like Musa. I bought a a pack but havent used them yet.

Absolutely. Still no action with the seeds. Haven't given up tho. And the company sent me a couple packs of ground cherries as a replacement so that's cool.

mix 1 tsp KNO3 (potassium nitrate fertilizer) in 1 liter of water (1 quart will suffice). This is the same thing but cheaper.

I'm looking into grown hot peppers. Some of those can take like 90 days to germ. I think I'm just gonna order plants and have them shipped. I would rather pay $8 a plant and clone it instead of paying $2 and staring at a jiffy pellet for 3 months saying "come on."
