Bansai mother

I have a mother I'm trying to make. Should I LSTed it, and now it has brances coming off all over. Should I cut these off, and only leave 2 branches for now? I know it needs to get bigger. Basically I have a U shaped plant with a bunch of smaller branches coming off in the middle/concaved part of the U. Should I cut these out? Hope this makes sense without the photos... Thanks.

prune, top, bend and generally torture the mother as needed. all you care about is that she is healthy and produces nice big and healthy clone cuttings.

for instance, in that last picture if each of those nodes growing straight up had been topped and then topped again you would have a nice little forest of clone points.

it was topped, fimmed the whole 9 yards,it was tortured and became a 3ft wide,3ftwide beast,i couldve got a half lb easy if it didnt herm, she came from marijuanaseeds.nl,they were feminized

ya i flowered it thats how i found out, trim the branches that will b too weak to support the weight, keep the branches that u deem usable for your situation, treat each brach as a plant of its own

I think I may have pruned mine too much. If I prune the fan leaves/shoots coming off will they grow back??? I already did it, so...

nope. our herb of choice only moves forward in its growth. if you cut stuff off the bottom it wont come back at the bottom.

the good news is the herb takes a lot of abuse and moves forward very well. ;)

stop what you are doing and watch the plant. the plant will always show you whether you have done right or wrong. take notes and do it differently next time.

the best plan for trying new things with your plants is to be slow and methodical.
