Bare bones bloom boxes - any interest?

I talked to someone today who is building bare bones bloom boxes like the BC Northerlights ones. I've been interested in making something like this but just didn't have the resources to do it until I met this guy. I'm still waiting for prices before I move forward as I want to sell them so they affordable.

This would be a bare bones box light the BCNL ones and you add in your own lights/ballast/etc.
 
I would think that you might want to price out what it would cost to put the guts in...400 watts max or you need to find way to cool it as well...now mine came as hydro pos...and now I use soil...so there's that...will the box be split? 1/3 the space is fluorescent for vegging...and that's what I can think off off the top of my head...

He has a few models, so will see. They will be the exact same thing as BNCL but can' say much about it cause don't want to jinx myself. The only thing that BCNL has is their timer/co2 module which in reality isn't needed. I'm more into having this as a diy type of thing but I guess a full set up could be made. I'd like to keep it max $2K or less for a full box ready to grow. The market and product price was never big enough for the boxes to take off here vs in the US.
 
My point was not that you should provide a complete box, but price out what it would cost to out the guts in and compare that price to bcnl...if it's going to cost someone less to buy a bare bones box and put what they want in it great, but if it's cheaper to buy the complete box...know what I'm saying...

Dont bother...money would be better spent on a tent...BCNL EZ bake oven
 
The price would have to be super low to really make these things sellable imo.
I used an old armoire i got off of kijiji for ten bucks.
Maybe $200 all in and i would say my armoire is 100% more stealth and probably the same size.
Im with the group on this one. I wouldnt get involved trying to sell these things if i were you.
People who grow their own do it out of necessity because they cant afford to buy meds or they are cheap either way it doesnt bode well for $2000 plus products.

Well the price will not be cheap as say $500 (for a ready to run box) no matter how much you try there's just no escaping the cost of building a box like that and adding in lights/ballast/fan/charcoal.

A fully set up tent is still quite expensive

Tent $275
Ballast (1000W dimable) $220-300
Shade/Fixture $30-$100
Bulbs ($30-70)
Charcoal ($120-150)
Exhaust Fan 6" ($160-200)
PPM/PH pens ($140 for two)
Timer board/timer (one that wont actually melt on you like a grounded timer) ($105-200)


I'm really more interested in providing just the boxes for diy types and for people who night already have all the other equipment and don't want to search around for a used box. There's no guarantee that I will go for it as I have to get my pricing first.
