SSHZ, Room looks on point and stunning, its a trip to see the room from, defoliated wk1 compared to wk3. On average how may times do you defoliate?
Does defoliating effect the potency, dimish/increase/same?

man you can certainly tell us in your first time from what I've read it looks like you've been at this a few years Big small in between you can sure tell you know what you're doing do you still like using ethos what's your favorite brand from them also if you got time I'd like to know you still use 5 gallon pots pro mix and what kind of nukes and if you're too busy don't worry about answering I know you must get pestered a lot from what I read I think we're about the same age I graduated in 72 live in Michigan believe it or not it's legal now I didn't know if I'd live long enough to see it if you answer me or not it's fine I appreciate you leaving your post behind very you have a good day now Bye

no problem........I’m 66, so graduated HS is 74. Yes, at it longer than most. I started on a small scale in 1988, by the early 90’s I went commercial and was growing inside hydroponically about 850 plants at a crop 4 times a year. I have grows on RIU since 2010, other places longer. My take on Ethos is they blow, and I’ve grown more than most of their strains. Yields are great, hermies have gotten better, easy to grow strains generally- but potency is terrible with 80% of their stuff. Stuff I’ve seen tested, even though it looked good, was wayyyyyy below stated numbers by the breeder. I’ve now sworn off them, and will NEVER grow an Ethos strain again. i do have 2 plants of Zsweet Inzanity finishing up and that strain was one of the best I’ve done thru them, but Ethos should be called the “low potency” breeder. Just too many disappointments with their stuff. Everyone was complaining. When I’d jump off to Strains like Irie Seeds Orange Gasm or Tony Greens strains, you notice the difference right away. Ethos has become the new Greenhouse seeds, it’s more about marketing and high volume sales than overall quality.

Thanks MM...........Today at 8 weeks I'm chopping 3 plants that are well done. I defoliated this one twice, one of them at 5 weeks and it was too late a bit. It stunted these a bit, so my yields are short of where I've been. I have not smoke it, but will try some scissor hash today and report back. But, looks terrific, smell great, easy to grow, etc. So much so, I bought another barney's strain for my next grow, even though I have a fridge full of seeds from others. This was the first grow in years I didn't really document, just took a few pic's here and there. And yes, names are meaningless. I did a lot of research into his one- growdiaries/reddit/and some other places reading all I could before I pulled the trigger.

I chopped 2 of the most done plants today..........i’ll Wrap everything up. Y Sunday, doing a couple each day. I also added some UV-B for about 30 minutes a day. Plants don’t like it much, but the resin is popping.

Ah so was the stunting from the week 5 defoliation because it is a quicker strain then usual?
Look forward to hearing a report on it. It does look incredible despite the weird names haha I take your word on it Sshz I could be missing out on something special.
That’s great to hear about Barney’s I do like their range. Im growing my first Barney’s seeds atm and no complaints so far they sprouted quick and look uniform between 2 plants.
All the best

Not a quick strain, normally 65-70 days but i defoliated a second time late at week 5 and that stunted growth a bit, as that was peak growth. Therefore, buds are smaller than normal and thus finished quicker. Today is day 62 and everything will be cut on Mon/Tues. i think I'm in the 80-90 oz range, but I got 116 oz last crop. i'll do a final report and smoke report in a week or so.......
